Trust me, it's not as bad as it seems  Looks all good to me.

Ah, I wasn't sure where this should go  Right now the springs that are on it are Neuspeeds, and I have a set of H&R and Bilsteins, both with H&R springs on them that are probably the ones that I'm going to cut. Although I'm trying to get the finances around to get the coilovers sooner, but we'll see where this goes. Thanks for the input.

Haha, I'm probably going to end up with coilovers at some point. Cutting the springs is just to hold me over. And it's basically already a sh*t ride
-
As soon as I put my new g-lader in, I'm going to cut the springs on my current suspension to lower it a bit. So this is my question. After I cut these springs I will still have another set of struts, shocks, and springs that will put it to the stock ride height. So if I'm going to cut these springs, should I still consider investing in a set of coilovers, or is it acceptable to just put the stock set on come winter?

Wow, that looks mean!

I knew a guy who had one of these. He parked it normally and actually managed to hit another car with his door.

I'm stuck in the past of screwing and unscrewing them.

Started the beautification project under the hood over the weekend. My goal is to paint the g-lader when i finally get my new one in, then just clean the crap out of everything else. We'll see what else is going to get painted. My camshaft is in good shape, surprisingly! -

You can make them with anything you want, as long as it meets their guildelines or it's not already taken. Normally they won't allow things with like sexual or offense language on them. They just charge you an arm and a leg to make a custom plate so most people usually just take what they're given. -

Neither, it's for the state. Each plate will have a different design on them. For example: -
If anyone has any pictures of a G60 where the supercharger has been removed, I need them. I'm going to bypass mine tomorrow and would like a quick picture of it. I can't seem to find anything.

It looks nice. I'm not really a big fan of eyelids, but it still doesn't look too bad.

Yeah, the gr3nade plate is custom made, but it's just decoration. As for the plates that you see in the last picture, those are my legally registered Ohio plates that I have to have to avoid the long arm of the law  If you want a custom Europlate (that's what we call them) there are a ton of websites that make them. licenseplates.tv I believe is who made mine, but my local VW club uses http://www.germanplates.com for their group buys and they've always turned out nice. If you want one made and if they won't do it for you, you can paypal me some US$ to cover that and the price of shipping and I'll gladly do one for you. Update on the project: I pulled my g-lader out last night, but unfortunately it's toast so I'm awaiting a new g-lader in the mail. In the meantime Im going to clean up and do alot of painting in my engine bay to make it look pretty. Here's a few pics! [img[http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2402/2353473168_cde0de5e36.jpg?v=0[/img] -
Technically I don't have a daily car. I use my rado to drive to and from school and little erands around there, but for the most part it just sits in a lot and goes days without being touched.
-
Thats horrible! Good luck finding it!
-
I was just going to rebuild it, but if it would be pointless (I mean, either way it's going to blow up) then I don't know... I need a car and won't be able to get a bypass or anything by the time I need said car...
-
I took it apart to start rebuilding it tonight. The back and the internal part that rotates look EXCELLENT. The front where the pulleys attach to... not so much. The ribs in the middle are bent up, and there's even a section where it's chipped out. The strips still hold in it fine though. But what do you guys think... If I put it back together with new strips and everything, would it work, or would it run for about ten seconds then blow up? Give me some good news...

I replaced that old bastard fender from Hell last night. Its gapped between the bumper, but I'm working on that tonight. Next update: Something involving a supercharger. -
Haha, figured... I was about to start asking where to get them at  take the font on a disc ( i dunno what it is but im sure someone will tell you) to a sign writers and get them to make it using a yellow backing and some clear acrylic! thats how plates are made in the uk. are they pressed metal in the states? any sign writer should be able to make em for you tho :D Yeah, they're pressed metal here. Thanks for the info
-
What kind did you use? I used a combination of Greased Lightning and Mother's metal polish and got the best results I've ever seen from an amateur (and by amateur I mean my frist ever attempt )

I think this is the biggest thread I've ever made on any forum :D Thanks for all of the pics. I love seeing the different cars that you guys have over there that we lack here in the states. Keep the pics coming!

I'd put the FK's on and tint them. I've been pondering a set of my own, actually.

Where did everyone get those TCF plates in the banner? Or are they just p-chopped?
