  1. Id imagine hed want around £1k for it. Any cheaper and ill buy it myself :D
  2. I know a chap in York who may be tempted to part with his non running 2.0 16v, with circa 80k on the clock. It was Burgundy pearl but was resprayed Peugeot Diablo red around 8 years ago. It's non running (due to a suspected immobiliser or ecu fault) and has been stood for a few years.
  3. The design of the car (interior and exterior) will always be regarded as significant, and as such I can imagine it will be a future classic. They're a pretty average car to drive, but that's not really what the MK1 TT was about IMO.
  4. A GT35R must be a monster on a VR6, my Supra made 500hp on low boost on a GT35R! I'd have thought a GTX30R would be a better street turbo for a Corrado, faster spool and still 500hp potential
  5. As above. I'd also fit a battery cutoff switch as they're cheap, easy to fit and will save your Battery from dying. A trickle charger would also be a good idea.
  6. I've got one sat on my drive, not used it in a couple if years due to an electrical fault. Gorgeous car though, and goes like a go kart (it's had alot of engine and suspension/chassis work.)
  7. This is exactly the kind of Corrado I want when I get another. Looking at your thread makes me want to sell my Audi S2 to get one. Let me know if you ever think of selling it, I'm just up the road in York :)
  8. The interior is nice too, with stunning seats. The dash is a similar shape to the Corrado 8)

    G60 Spoiler

I don't think it will be just as easy as running a + and - to it, surely it'll need a relay?
  10. Nice Corrado 8) It looks like someone with, what can only be described as a Japanese Ford Escort, has parked behind you. :D
  11. Mr Rooney doesn't think it's a good idea to tell people how to clock their cars...
  12. Just read through this whole thread, well done chap :)
  13. Plus another 5 years (at least) until he'll be able to insure it :D Welcome.
  14. Hey :) Nothing wrong with a good track car 8)
  15. Could you please point me towards that? Had a look in the knowledge base and couldn't find it :(
  16. Thanks :) I've had around 30 cars so far (I'm 28 ) Jags are fantastic, driving one is always an occasion and you don't half get some looks :)
  17. I found the performance okay, but considering the performance it was a very thirsty car! :D it was nice, but MK1s are in a different league IMO. For a Supra, there were surprisingly few gauges :D there's lots of things you need to keep an eye on though, an oil pressure drop, overheating, over boosting etc can cost you a fortune in one of those. A basic engine rebuild costing circa £5k!
  18. Part 2 :) This felt horribly slow, so was replaced with this: A 1997 Jag XJR I bought from auction for £350! I sold that on Pretty quickly, (which had always been the plan) and replaced it with a lovely mk1 Golf GTi: I still have this one, its running circa 160hp on the modified 8v engine, is fully polybushed and drives like a go-kart :D I decided I wanted another Supra, but being a student doesn't really allow huge amounts of money for running costs, so I bought a 6 speed non turbo one: Yeah, they're genuine 18" LMs 18x9 & 18x10, et35. This is still an expensive car to run, so I'm thinking about coming back to a Corrado, having been offeredvgood money for the Supra. Even VR6s are cheap to run in comparison to a Supra :D It may end up being the mk1 gti that goes though, as Supras are amazing cars, and I'd like another big power one (though in Supra circles 500hp isn't considered big power anymore, you need circa 900 fwhp to play with the big boys!) I'd really like a tdi'd Corrado , but I'm also looking at 20vt ones and VR6 Storms :) a 300hp vr6 would fit the bill perfectly, and probably sound amazing! ---------- Post added at 02:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:45 PM ---------- The reg on my old car was J66 SDN, I'd be interested in buying that one back if anyone knows it current whereabouts? :)
  19. I've been looking a lot recently, and that seems about right. However, I'd expect it to be rust/rot free for that amount, though I'd expect a few stone chips and the odd minor Mark here or there. I'd expect a low mileage, immaculate non storm for the same money.
  20. Hey guys, not really a newbie, but I've been away from the Corrado fold for a while. Possibly thinking of coming back :) A bit of history :) I bought my fist Corrado when I was 20 (2003). It was a '93 valver in sherry red, with approx 70k miles. It had a little rust, but had FSH and the interior was immaculate. It was great mechanically, and unknown suspension mods made it handle amazingly. I treated her to a respray in Peugeot Diablo red I then swapped it for an a4 TDi, which I soon regretted :( I sold it pronto, and a cheeky eBay bid saw me the owner of this for an unbelievably low price: I ran that around for a few months, but a craving for more power an cheap insurance soon saw me behind the wheel of: A 450hp uk spec auto Supra for the wheel whores amongst you, they're 19x9 / 19x11 Braid 1FMs As you can imagine, running a 450hp automatic Supra isn't very cheap, to the point where buying an extra car was an economical choice :D This saw me return to Corrado ownership, in the shape of a midnight blue VR6: It was fully specced, with leather etc. I ran this for a couple of years. By this point, it was getting very little use. I'd replaced the 450hp auto Supra, with very an expensive and immaculate 500hp Single turbo manual one: Another for the wheel whores: I then decided to go to uni, so all the toys had to go :( I bought this as a run around: Oak green mk2 GTi 8v End of part one :)
  21. You sir, have good taste in wheels both the blu and sherry cars are stunning
  22. Have you got a link to an advert, or can you post some details up? :)
  23. A friend of mine has a 16v Corrado (obd1 he tells me) that turns over, but quickly cuts out. He's tested various things, and can confirm that the engine is getting both fuel and spark. He's going to plug in a fault reader next, and check compression, but I thought I'd just ask on here to see if it may be a common issue? Cheers
  24. That sounds exactly the service I'm looking for :) I'd want it running at least 150hp really. So say I supply a B4 donor, and a suitable VR6, approximately what cost would I be looking at for the fitting? Actually, I've got access to a nice non running valver, so that may be an option.
