  1. I take it you werent too keen on the offroad look
  2. Im at RAF Cosford for 3 weeks next month, so I'll keep an eye out for you both. Good to see Gareths pride and joy is being looked after, he still misses it
  3. Ah I get ya  Yeah she is a good one.
  4. Whats DBP? And, NO! I cleaned it the day before
  5. Yes I had the same issues. It turned out to be the clocks were knackered due to the splicing/soldering and a lot of interference getting into the wires due to there not being enough insulation. I ended up having new clocks, but they are still the original Corrado clocks. Also, get it on vag-com and see if you have a gearbox speed sensor fault (I think its something like that). If so then you have the same issues that I did whereby my revs would not pass 5k. It worked out that there needed to be a signal from the gearbox for the road speed, feeding into the ecu, then into the clocks. I was speaking to Andy about it on the weekend, as he's just done another 24v conversion for John-M on here, and he has the same issues. He also has a Storm in at the moment, which is also having a 24v conversion!!!! Its getting rather popular!!!
  6. That'd be me then. :D I thought about a GTV myself mate, but that forum put me off them - seriously! Theyre all a bunch of complete wankers on there!! (odd exception of course, William  )
  7. The ugliest Corrado has to be that monstrosity with a Golf MKIV front end :pukeright: :pukeleft: And as for Lexus lights, well they look shit on a Lexus, let alone a Corado FFS!!! My opinions thats all
  8. You could also get an R32 swap and have around 240-250 BHP on tap, and that lovely sound 8) Then, if you had some spare money lying about strap a charger/turbo to it
  9. Thats pretty much the same as me mate, but for the price I paid for the LC, you wont get an LCR, and the S3's in that price range arent the best. The Rado.....well Ive just left one of the better ones and fancied a change. Also, an S3 probably isnt much (if at all) quicker due to the weight of the 4WD???? Not sure though. Not interested in a Lupo/Fabia, just not my cup o tea
  10. Nice collection James. Reckon you need to change your sig though  "Totally standard except the magnex exhaust (and the german style plates)." and the 24v engine custom code remap eibach springs koni T/A's...............etc
  11. Fecking Megane!!!!!   How dare you William!!! It doesnt look like a C, it just has a similar bootline from the roof down the tailgate ie its not a box like a Golf
  12. That pic has been doing the rounds for ages too.
  13. It was never a case of that mate, I just fancied a change from the C. I loved it to bits, but I just felt it was starting to show its age from the inside, and wasnt the best daily driver due to the fimness etc. I never even considered a Leon til I saw this one, and it was the price that swayed me really. Compare it to any other 2003 VAG car and you get a lot for your money. No cruise mate, but it has climate, 6 cd. I'll probably get cruise off ebay to fit it though, and one for the 4mo too. Handy to know that Andy, but obviously Im not doing anything to it..................yet
  14. I agree mate, but that was never the intention. the intention was just to make it a nice looking OE+ Goof. The fact its a 4mo is good enough for me anyway  I think we're gonna keep it, so that means I can start fettling
  15. Youre a t*t William  NO!!!! Im not doing anything til next year (well thats what Im saying to err indoors anyway  )
  16. I'l PM you  I think its just the line of the boot, and the rear plate surround (from the C) being quite large.
  17. Bit of an update. Recently changed the front wishbone bushes, and ARB bushes, all for powerflex and its made loads of difference!!! I also bought some Santa Monica's off ebay a while back, and have just wrapped them in Eagle F1's and stuck them on the car. The last owner had them refurbed in a gun metal grey colour, and I think they look quite ace!!! So I still have 24v to play with when needed  Opinions on the wheels?
  18. ..........Leon Cupra! I picked it up today. 1 owner, fsh, 67k, 180 BHP model and at a bargain (and I mean bargain) price!!!! Its not a replacement for the C, nothing ever will be, but is a nice car, drives well, has decent power and loads of potential and it sort of looks similar to a C, dont you think??? With the shape of the boot, its just a slightly taller version :D What you reckon?
  19. That looks really nice! Im even liking the crystal fogs and indicators
  20. Its finally going :( Too some pics after its last clean today, and may get some more tomorrow before handing it over. Its been emotional
  21. Not at all mate, just not very often I get called it, unless I go home to Wales. I got gazzumped on the wheels by £2 Rob!! Gutted!!
  22. If I do mate then yeah that would be great :thumbleft:
