They're 7.5s, if u look in the first page of my build thread you'll see that I had some on my valver but mine were et25. I'd personaly run a 205/40 max or they'll look like baloons and you'll most likely have scrubbing issues. I had 195/45s on mine and they were chunky enough tbh.

Its done well so far as far as keepin me poor is concerned! I dont know if i want to do em black again though, keep thinking it'll make the car look more 'rude' like the last one... i guess ill have to try em, cant help but think grey would look rather awesome. Hows your VR treatin u?
-
Best style of pulled arches u can get imo. Looks factory. Im copying you
-
Are they the autotech cams? How much they set u back? I want some crazy cams, heard you can get 284's lol, 7.5k rev limit anyone? I doubt my 153k engine will like being revved so much though!

Ok well i gave up trying to sort out the paint on the bonnet, once i clayed it and went over it once with some menzerna intensive polish so i could see what i was dealing with properly i found a SH*T load of sanding/prep marks. Looks like the the front might have been painted before but i dont understand how a *light* machine polish that probably took off 0.5mm of laquer would bring up such crazy ass scratches all over the bonnet!! They weren't there before, at least not visible to the naked eye. The car really needs paint tbh, its not terrible by any means but i dont like it! Ill carry on with the rotary tommorow and see how it goes, hit the bonnet twice today and the scratch marks are only improving a tiny bit, im just scared of burning through the laquer as i dont have one of those paint depth measuring thingys. Will update tommorow with pics. :? OH I NEED OPINIONS... My projector lights are defo going in but should they stay black or should i paint them grey or silver? Any opinions welcome.

Looks good man, ive reverted to an oldschool kenwood unit! I want those Genny 6x9s off u but have no spare cash right now... What is this mention of Cams? Tell me more? Is my Vr going to be the slowest of the pack? (Abdul runs to look for his credit card  )

Mines sold now but i can get pics up if u want. Its only ever noticable if ur wheels are pokey. I literally had 10mm more poke on the passenger side.

I was waiting for someone to say that, haha, everyone on the road is a potential race ha, were in Rotherham are you from? I'm eastdene/Clifton before I jumped ship to sheff, don't know why I bothered I still spend beat part if my time back in roth Admitedly i was a bit of a hypocrite when i made that statement as i do push my rado pretty damn hard too but never too the point where im about to plough into a wall or another car etc lol. Slides are a daily thing

THIS I mean i really want a corrado shell dropped onto a gallardo for some reason  IF i had unlimited corrado funds as i like to call them that would be me right there lol. Ben u picked up the Vr yet?
-
Imo you will never need 4wd out on the road. I mean the corrado has a seriously capable chassis which when tuned *correctly* is seriously more than enough out on the road. If u can push a well sorted corrado to its limits on UK roads u need to lose your license asap imo. If you're tracking it or planning on running silly bhp then fair do's, it'l come in handy  Seriously though, if your capable of doing it with relative ease or enjoy getting your hands dirty day in day out 6 months straight then DO IT, if not, get a 4motion golf engine, stick it in over a month or so and drive the sh*t out of it. Just my 2 pence, nothing wrong with ambition but at the same time, you dont want to be over ambitious, buy all the bits you need, start the install, discover u need more parts and dont know how to carry on the install etc etc and then sell everything at a loss. I guess what im tryin to say is the same as everyone else, there is no cheap wa to 4wd.

I had a MKII with the wrong switch in it, and it bugged me once I noticed that it was wrong enough that I replaced it with a correct one, but was intrigued enough to find out WTF the switch with the wrong symbol was out of by looking up the part number.... :ubergeek: shouldnt of said out. i bet the chicks were digging the geekiness ;) lol

Thanks fella, i appreciate it man, means alot! Alot of hard work went into the valver but i know the new owners takin care of it so all is good! The funny thing is, the valver was just supposed to be a stop gap untill i get a VR so yeah this will most likely get a bit out of hand and be similar to the valver but just more in every sense, just going to take time as im trying to resolve my job situation at the mo. Once i do, i dont know really, expect some wide 17s! Ive got my eyes on some completely custom wheels but that wont happen till next year  Avatars staying for now as im struggling to find love for the VR right now and so miss my valver lol. I keep thinking about superchargers though, i mean i never understood why people did it when i had my valver, i mean a 200 odd bhp rado is enough right, HELL NO!

On a seperate note, i begun touching up the paint and wet sanded and somehow managed to mess it up a bit i think, ill try and save it tommorow though lol. If not, im sending it off for paint mid august, i cannot stand shoddy paintwork!
-
Its funny, im the complete opposite i prefer the standard leathers and even then i prefer the standard cloth seats to the standard leathers lol... I couldnt seem to get myself comfortable when in a friends cloth recaro's.

Active rear steer?! My bad, its passive rear steering... I believe the flex in the stock bushes help the rear beam twist a bit when cornering. Something along those lines...
-
Hey chap, there are tonnes of spring and shock combos out there but ive personally only used coilovers so cant comment but KW's and Koni's seem to come highly recommended. With regards to the rear bushes, ive read that its best not to use powerflex bushes despite being easier to install as you lose the rado's active rear steer. I hate to say it but if you do a search you'll find that there is literally a sea of info on this stuff! Abdul

when your wheels already poke by 1cm spacing isnt an option lol. I take it this is a universal rado problem then?
-
Bro, a hairdryer is not going to make the plastic flexy, use a heatgun. Borrow mine if u like.
-
Sorry to go off topic guys, has anyone tried raising the engine with modded mounts? Alot of mk3 guys do it but im not sure theres enough clearance between the bonnet and inlet. Mine isnt even low and the sumps very close to the floor, similar to how my valvers was and that was a good 2inches lower all round!!
-
LOLZ that was quite amusing. Henny, wtf dude, why would u know that the bulb icon goes the other way round in a mk2? lol I was driving back from west london last night and finaly got to open the vr up a bit. Im not going to lie, once it gets going it goes but i think ill be needing more soonish  I think the linear power delivery doesn't help things as its so smooth, never really feels quick despite showing silly numbers on the speedo! 2nd and 3rd are fun i must say! :luvlove:
-
hey guys, forgot to mention this earlier but my headlight switch isnt the usual rado one... looks like a previous owner replaced it. Any idea what its out of?
-
Flip me thats a bargain!! Any mods? U got pics up? Its a shame ur so far or id be up for that!
-
Hey J, how u doin? Rado all good? I know what u mean aboutpaint work its just that i dont have any moneys left for paint after the mot rape... How much did ya front end paint cost? Pm me if u like... Im quite chuffed with the engine myself tbh lol. Does go pretty damn well!!
-
If its stonechipped to feckery I'd be trying my hardest to get a perfect match, its going to look worse imo if you've got a load of slightly different coloured spots peppering it. My £0.02 I stupidly took my VR to VW for its first service. Ouch. Cheers, dude, i know wat u mean about dodgy matches, this is the beauty in detailing though it takes care of the rest, if u look for it, you'll spot it no doubt, but otherwise it should look pretty damn awesome!! Just bare with me on this one lol...
-
Well i got halfords to mix a bit up for a tenner, i tried it on one chip today and tbh while the match isnt perfect its far from terrible... Ill get pics up over the weekend as i gradually fill more!
