Thanks for the input guys. Kad  Driven my uncle's 745 which has the same engine i think (330 odd brake?) and its a bit of a monster tbh lol. Taxi's will cost alot tbh and no i dont know of any car club schemes etc. Kerrly, i wont service it etc at mercedes, i may lose value because of it but ill be taking it to Torque exhausts who have dealt with all my cars for the last 3 years. I mean they service and rebuild astons and ferrari's so a clk/vr will be fine with them lol. I know the Vr will cost more to run than my valver but thats fine, if i get a merc i want a beige leather interior and an auto box  Tbh, merc servicing costs is no big deal, if i cant afford it dad will pay just because he wants me to have one, no kidding. I just messaged FLA on here saying that at the end of the day i reckon it'll come down to which car comes up for sale first in the right condition/price etc. Once again, thanks for the input guys.

Thats what im scared of, they're going to shoot up sooner or later in price. Kad, cant insure a 4.0 v8 mate... thanks for the offer...

Hi guys, in the process of selling my valver, it should be gone by this weekend. Now i really was 100% set on a vr otherwise mine wouldnt be up for sale. Here's my dilemma, my dad doesnt really drive (due to health issues) and every once in a while, maybe twice a week at the most, he might need a lift somewhere etc. Now he hates my corrado, partly because its old and he doesn't understand the appeal but more because he finds it pretty difficult to get in etc. So he's now suggested i get a Merc CLK so i had a look at the 320's 2000ish model and they cost about the same as a vr for a nice one. I really dont know what to do now, ive always liked the merc's but feel like i have many years ahead for merc ownership (im 21) but at the same time i dont really want to let my pops down. Part of this is because he did buy me my first car and those funds have pretty much been the basis of my fundage of all the cars ive owned since. I mean he always helps me out etc if i need it so i feel a bit bad now, i mean he's pretty pleased my rados going  Weird thread i know but im a bit confused here as to what to do. Abdul

As above really, definately want a set for my next rado, its a timeless look imo, played maybe but just looks right. If people dont mind, could u put in a mention of how much your rs' have cost you? I see some for 2k, some for 1.5k, some for less, dont know what to expect to pay tbh (not that i can afford em yet but for later reference lol). So, let see your pics people!

Im actually heart broken. Has anyone seen Custom my ride when they take a new dodge charger, rip the shell off and put an old charger shell on?? If i had the money needed... TT Rs with corrado shell would be very much my dream car! I always think about it but tbh, it'd probably cost 100k to do or something mad like that.
-
Ignition switch my friend... that is if your car still has one?
-
There red leather is a proper red though, thats the thing with the campaign, if it was a bmw/merc shade of red with the stripe thing going through i reckon it'd look absolutely amazing! I personally like the beige storm (non recaro) leathers and the yank spec half leathers. Dunno why but half leathers excite me lol.
-
Coming from a man who still using laminex! Yeah is there a problem with laminx? Better than ghetto spray that makes ur lights look brown and it protects them... i know there are quite a few rados running laminx actually. If the campaign interior was half nice dont u think people would've gone and replicated it when they get retrims?
-
Those interiors are rare with good reason; they're ugly!!
-
Very much so. I also love your car, hence the 'beats me'. 2 similar cars, 2 different monsters hidden within. Im sure yours had really low mileage etc right? If that was the case it made even more sense to keep it oem!
-
Its only worth what someone willing to pay :? Thats a stunning corrado with some very nice parts ,but how well has it been put together. I know mine had no welding or filler anywhere. Yeah but how do u smooth a bay or have bodymods without welding and filler? lol, ur rado was indeed lovely but visually it had nothing done to it in comparison to this which would explain the lack of any welding. Beats me

Shame about ur bumper mate, there are some real pricks out there. I know exactly what u mean about whether or not to sell, ive spent a bit less than half of what you've spent but wont get half of that even now that im trying to sell. If u think you'll end up in another rado later on in the future id keep it, if u buy another now, be it more pricey or cheaper it'll be worth it as rado prices are just shite at the minute making it a buyers market. Im only selling to get a vr or else i wouldnt bother tbh. I say that, but alot of large engined german metal has depreciated alot lately... Clk's are always looking tempting for some reason...
-
But imagine if they made a new corrado to compete with the cayman with a spoiler that goes up and down lol. Then we'd all be happy right? Im sure the rado sold poorly due to its pricing which aparently was high at the time (similar story as the mazda rx7)..

 Any idea how many more Scirrocos were built than Corrados? There's now 3 generations of them. The originals were built from 1974 to 1992. They were sold along side the corrado? Either way, still an old school car for the older folk imo. If they had badged the new rocco as a corrado wouldnt that make it 2 all? lol
-
Wow that looks really clean! Any plans for the outside of the car?
-
I didnt understand the link or did i not read it properly?
-
Come on im a car freak and i didnt know what a rocco was till i took an interest in rado's... My point being im 21, the scirocco is a fair bit older than me tbh, to the current 30+ generation it might be well known but i dont know many people my age who have any interest in roccos or even know what one is. Point being, in 5 years or whatever we will most likely be the target market for a new coupe thus making the corrado perfect! No offence to the old rocco owners or anything but i dont see them having any following in comparison to the corrado. Could vw not make it on the A5 platform seeing as all their cars are about 30% fatter than they were 10-15 years ago? Makes sense to me, vw need a proper supercoupe!
-
I reckon the cab could look awesome if modded.
-
Its funny that, it did nothing for me at all when it was brown lol.
-
Ahhhhh i hate cars like that, piss me off soo much!! Awesome pics, piece of shit in person. F*ck that.
-
The rocco was only just released so once they release one or two revised versions of that which they probably will, another five years will pass. 2015ish release date i'd say. I may sound like an ass saying this but VW will be the biggest c*cks in my books in the history of car manufacturers if they dont make another rado. Yes this is just my opinion. Dont shoot me for it, i love corrados. They ended production on the rado prematurely last time imo due to shitty sales, imagine if they kept it going for another couple of years? Factory 1.8T and 24v's may have been made? :luvlove: God knows, if they dont, we'll just have to keep tearing apart their latest offerings to fit the lumps into our mid 90s corrado's which works for me lol. Kev, if they make it on the passat cc platform its just going to be a big ass merc clk type thing no? Ooooh... does that mean they might put an audi rs4 v8 in it? lool 8)

500ish whp IIRC, but it can do more, a lot more :D I think the front spoiler is to help keep it on the ground at speed as there's no longer any weight up front, except the fuel tank :D I read the write up in PVW and he tried his best to keep it OE looking, but sometimes you can't avoid external mods. Fair play to the man. I wish I could weld and had the space! I don't think that one would be too animaly to drive thanks to the 4WD. 600bhp in FWD is another kettle of fish  You must be one hell of a driver lol. 5-600hp AWD or not in a 1.5 tonne car is just mad, like fookin crazy!
-
You would have to be an absolute crackhead to put a clutch on a 200hp vr6 and pay £1200 for it lol. Hope it works out for u mate, i had my eyes on this too!
-
Nooo it needs to be wider, have a lower roofline and have a bit of boot to give it a proper coupe shape.
-
I think he built the actual engine but Dave Paster (the owner) did everything else himself. Hes a painter by trade. It must be an absolute animal to drive, £20k is a bargain imo. N yeah it was in last months PVW, thought id put up a thread here too! I think the cars been broken for parts now... The arch work despite not being to my tastes is amazing, 9x17 up front i think with 225/35s and 10s out back with 245s!! It must be a dream to drive with it being abe to put down all that power!! N the seats :luvlove: Theres only a small number of em in the world, worth about 4-5k i think.
