Gino Corrado was in 'Gone with the wind', maybe someone at karmann was a fan... Gino Corrado's illustrious film career -
just when I thought you couldnt improve it... looking great as usual. I still prefer the 301's but TBH I think that car would look good on any wheel style!
-
i guess this thread just proves nissan got it spot on if their target buyers were young women who used to drive Ka's and have partners who own corrados...
-
nah, got to be 22" touareg wheels ;)

I'm ashamed to admit i used to own a 'bubble' micra, one of the last ones before they did the redesign and turned it into a hippo. It was a 1.4 and, I thought, quite nippy for a small engine. I have to admit though Phat's right about the handling, even the slightest of bends made it pitch and roll like it was trying to go over... it wont though.

gray g60 parked on Kells lane in gateshead, seen it a few times now so possibly outside the owners house? there used to be a mk2 parked there all the time so maybe a new owner upgrading from the golf. -
^ what jim said. I dont think theres many shopping/school run cars that are a real drivers car (clio 172's etc excluded, they're not your average small hatch), they're not intended to be fast or particularly fun, they're aimed at a different market and a different type of motorist. Personally I like the Figaro, its got bags more style than anything else in its price range, its a nissan micra in essence so its going to be pretty bomb-proof engine wise and its got that individuality factor.

nope, the previous owner shall remain nameless to protect his reputation! ;)

my old VR was nicknamed 'Henry' by the previous owner, owing to the fact he reckoned you'd find an 8th in the hooverbag after a good clean!

BACK TO THE VW FOLD..............VR HIGHLINE

nice mate, not seen them on a VW, let alone a corrado before. nice pink shirt/tie combo too... trying for dinkus's pink crown? (urgh! thats not what i meant!!!) -
IMO aftermarket bumpers look odd without sideskirts, and i'm yet to see skirts I like on a corrado. With the standard bumper the paint line finishes at roughly the same height all around the car (see iow's sig for what i mean) with an aftermarket bumper and no sideskirts the front looks somehow unballanced, kinda like you wanted a full bodykit but could only afford the front.

there she goes! boing-boing-boing-TREE!!!

someone watched fightclub last night then ;) AFAIK they used to log it as an owner change since they issued a new v5 for the car, albeit with the same details for the owner. Stupid idea, which is why i guess they changed it. I am jacks smiling revenge

I've never fully understood what you're supposed to do, I've read descriptions of the method but its obviously not something you can put over well in words, either that or i'm dense.

I'm finding it hard to think of anything that'd suit a green car better than a tan interior. The rusty brown/orange colours of the C with the Aston interior look nice, but I dont think thats to everyones tastes.

1. concentrate on the door skin itself, the most noticeable differences I found were in dynamatting the inside of the outer doorskin, behind the speaker hole (if that makes sense?) since its directly behind where the speaker will sit. Make sure the windows not going to foul on any soundproofing you add, and using one of those narrow wallpaper rollers to flatten it down helps save skinned knuckles as its tight in there. 2. With better speakers up front and the standard rears disconnected you should be able to crank it up a bit further without distortion, my only reservations are about the power output of the amp, it seems a bit low. It should still work but keep in mind that the amp will have to work alot harder to drive the sub unless you can find a sub that runs at 30w RMS (assuming the amp is 30w RMS?). The sub you linked to is rated 100w RMS so the amp is pretty underpowered for that, you'll end up turning up the gain on it to pretty high levels in order to keep the volume consistant across the setup. 3. If the amp doesnt have a built in low pass filter then yes, you'd be best off investing in a crossover, or alternativly you can buy little low pass resistor packs from halfords which provide a fixed frequency cut off, you wire them into the line-in for the amp, so all it processes are the lows. 4. not really! the audioscape pods are great as are the focals, the only thing I think you should really invest in is an amp with a bit more punch to drive the sub, I know you dont want thumping bass, but a low powered amp turned up full in order to drive a higher powered sub will disapoint, since its operating at the top of its capabilities so signal/noise will be worse. hope that helps some!

woah they must be rare then

I hope i'm not the only one sniggering like a schoolboy at the description...
-
it'd add a nasty black 'scar' down the side of the car though, I'd have thought it'd be highly visible on anything other than a dark coloured C.
-
I 'think' they're slightly higher at the back as standard anyway, so lowering 40mm all around will still leave you with the back looking a tad higher than the front. Both my 16v and my VR appeared higher at the back, only slightly though. I've a feeling you can get 40/60 suspension kits to level things out a bit but I've been told that could effect handling, not sure how true that is since the people running coilovers dont seem to be complaining! edit - also, knackered topmounts will lower the car further, a put -40mm springs on my valver with the original topmounts and it looked more like -80mm at the front! :?
-
 thats a slightly different kettle of fish jim!
-
one saving grace, it looks like a young deer, had it been older and bigger it might have come through the windscreen! looks nasty still, much damage inside the engine bay?
