    EIP R32

bit nippy! is that the twin turbo r32 jobby?
  3. they're paying to put you back in the position you were in pre-accident, I dont think geography come into it really but they 'should' look at how much you'd have to pay to buy a car of the same spec and condition. best plan is to print out everything on autotrader, reguardless of distance, thats even remotly simular to your car and fax it to them as evidence of market value because usually they go off the Glass's Guide or Parkers book price and they're wildly inaccurate.
  4. cant go too far wrong with older jap cars, parts are cheap and they seem to go forever, although a mate of mine bought a £300 mk3 fiesta a few years ago and never had a days bother with it, the old F.O.R.D gag certainly didnt apply. Other than that... a reliant robin?
  5. really? :? mine was early and had a plastic cover, Obviously it must have been changed in the past!
  6. hmm, they're not going on without some serious f**king about, b5 'rat hub conversion? :? I expect you're somewhere north of berlin with a baseball bat and a greasy hamster by now, must be gutted.
  7. nah mate i dont, i had to put the plastic one back on in the end since I took the polished one off and sold it when the car was written off :(
  8. the bolts are different to the later metal ones VRTrickster. I went the other way, plastic to polished metal, and had to buy a whole 8 new bolts which cost nearly £30 from the dealers! iow_corrado_g60, early VR's all had plastic rockercovers.
  9. he really used all of the 300 or so horse's there didnt he? I was expecting him to light up the tyres and drift around that plantbed in what i guess is his driveway, but no :( The random braking going over the crest of the hill was quite funny, better slow down from 25 to 20 in case it leaves the ground...
  10. funny looking corvette based thing made by ex-fyord engineers. http://www.gdtspeedster.com/ Not sure i like it at all, its got a plastic kitcar look about it. The videos brilliant though, heavy (copywrite free) RAWK music over the top of footage of some guy in a flat cap pootling about at 30mph
  11. different isnt always good though, look at the new BMW 5 series :? :pukeright:
  12. I'd also just add that better pics might help your cause, from memory the ones in your advert were much like the one you have in your sig, simple, clear, daytime shots go along way. places to advertise: autotrader (obviously) fish4cars.co.uk exchange and mart all forums you can find pistonheads clasifieds hope that helps, good luck!
  13. i really like that, much less 'titty' like than the previous (mk1 now i guess?) TT. I'd have one. "With regard to options, customers can choose from a variety of high-tech solutions, including the adaptive light dynamic cornering light system and the Audi parking system which aids parking." wtf is a "adaptive light dynamic cornering light system" ??
  14. its an americanisum (izum?) dinkus, you need to watch MTV cribs more! they're always on about their rides rollin on dubs, something to do with 20 being the double of ten, therefore - dubs. quite why they start with ten i dont know, thats 'gangstas' for you.
  15. from what I gather, in simple terms, the ECU is better. I'm sure kev, trigger or one of the other ODB2 practitioners will be able to tell you more in detail.
  16. hmm, the re-chip sounds like a bit of a waste to me, not much bang for your bucks. the rest depends on if you're after an upgrade to the looks, or to the driving performance. Personally I'd go suspension, wheels, ARB as order of priority.
  17. I think "extensivly modified" is a key phrase here, firstly how do you define "extensive", secondly as henny says, how do you police it? I think its going to prove totally unworkable for engine mods unless the MOT tester is supposed to be familiar with the intricasys of every engine on the road and be able to spot even hidden mods like cams, re-bores or chips. Obviously if its a micra with a skyline engine in then they'll probably spot it ;) as for chav-chariots with go-faster-PVC all over them, subject them to the same tests as imported cars get subjected to, where they activly look for sharp edges, dangerous protrudences and other such pedestrian killers.
  18. ah, sorry, it doesnt actually start until you click 'play' on firefox, didnt relise it'd play by default on (i assume) internet explorer.
  19. 3x2's, nice mate, proper toddler style... whats the offset ;)
