nice one conleycrew, I knew about the recall to add the spoiler to early models due to the back end being a bit over active.

so long as its not gory, pm it over mate! if they're not safe then i'll advise him against. Image and so on is what he likes, personally I wouldnt have one but theres no accounting for taste.
-
yeah I mentioned that sort of thing to him, but I dont think he's too fussed, the RHD versions are priced out of his range so if he wants one, it kinda has to be LHD.
-
 I should have known better than to ask! if it helps my mate IS a gay hairdresser, so I dount hes bothered about image (sorry kris ;))
-
heh, hes already owned a smart 4-2 and a mini cooper-s, might as well go for the complete set of trendy cars eh?

A mate of mine is looking at a 180bhp TT at the weekend and asked me to go along to lend second pair of eyes. Thing is, its a left hooker. is there anything specific I should be looking for? I know the 1.8T is a fairly sound engine if looked after but I dont know a great deal about TT's and any common faults they have. any advice?

yeah, sadly you cant use the jet on the road, hence it has a standard petrol lump up front. wonder how the insurance companies would react... "any modifications to the veichle?" "yeah, a jet engine giving me about 1300bhp" *click* burrrrrrr

I'm sure you could get two in a corrados boot...
-
"yeah why not, order them in...so long as the missus don't find out!" For that I had to give him discount! a phrase all to familiar to most corrado owners!
-
i was about 14 when it was on, and IIRC there was ladys in bikini's in it... of course I watched it! :D
-
I only know that becuase it was the first place i saw one and though WTF is that! :D *dribble*

as seen in dodgy BBC soap 'eldorado' I was thinking a nice set of bbs on it, rs301's probably would work well.
-
I like the look of them personally, never been in one though. with some nicer wheels, that'd be sweet!
-
as private plates go i think thats a good 'un, I'd expect it'd be around £800?
-
good lass!

140-150 is suprisingly quick, not supercar quick obviously but it takes less time than you'd think. I couldnt really hear my engine at that speed, the wind noise drowned it out... or was it my screams?

lowered enough it'd look just fine. as for the tyre/tire situation, they're far from the biggest streach I've seen, you want to see some of the stuff the belgians do! crazy. AFAIK the ride on airbags is comparable to a good suspension setup, considering you can set how hard the 'bags' are during normal driving. you'd be able to set them up nice and stiff for the twisties and soften them off for general driving about.

from memory when I was looking to buy a mk3, you'd be lucky to get more than 3k for it unless its a total minter. as khurrado said they're common as muck.

I've a feeling theres a seperate cable for the windscreen vents, I may well be wrong but I remember seeing something on the ETKA screen when I was ordering a bowden cable about windscreen control cables...
-
the reiger one de-holed would look pretty sweet
-
get a 50mm for daily use and a 90mm for shows maybe? the 90's look so much harder
-

Ever regretted a modification? (helpful guide perhaps)

bilstein shocks with ventura springs on my old valver, great if you had a chesty lady in a low cut top sitting next to you (not that I ever did mind you) 'boing boing boing'. -
did the guy on the r1 just give up at the end? the way the porsche caught up it certainly looked like it!

did this on my vr, its pretty simple once you find the circlip (which i didnt to begin with, thinking they screwed in/out :?)
