Tekara - the wing has sold I'm afraid, but I still have the bonnet prop (if that's what you're referring to)? I have several standard ones and one stainless one. Let me know which you're interested in. V33DUB - I have everything that you need - the centre tunnel rear sections are in very good condition. How does £35 posted for the lot sound? Cheers Tom -

No bother. It'll be a little while before I get it back anyway so might be quicker to get yours done anyway! -

Tim - Once I get it back, how does £90 posted sound for the radiator support panel? Webbie - I'm afraid the rear bumper is taken - sorry. -
Seriously tempted to sell my 330Cd to get that to be honest! Have always wanted a decent condition blue Storm!

Chris - I do have several of the rubber mounts yeah, is it just those you need or the little brackets too? Alex - pedal box is also available, took it off yesterday - £60 posted if you want it. Just a quick update - I've amended the first thread with some of the parts that are still available. The car goes to the scrappers next weekend so any of the panels that aren't wanted (tailgate, rear bumper etc) will be going with it. I've also had a session on taking it to bits today and there's still loads left, including pretty much all of the interior trim - all in great condition. Still fog lights, switches, N/S headlight, splitter, headlining, sunroof mech, carpet etc etc available so if there's anything you need then shout up. I'm going to try to salvage as many parts as I can but I've only got room for so much and have got a 16V coming in for a VR6 conversion the day after this goes to the scrappers so need to leave room for that. Cheers Tom -

Hi James, Would do the arch liners for £30 posted mate. Cheers Tom -
Hi, I’ve decided that selling these wheels would be a good idea in order to free up some room in the garage, although I don’t really want to because it took me a long time to find them! However I’ve now sold the car that they used to be on and I’m currently without anything VAG so I’ve no need for these. They are BBS RC’s, in 16x7.5, 5x100, ET35. Fitted with Hankook Ventus V12 EVO tyres in 215/40ZR16 86W tyres. Two of the tyres have 5mm tread and 2 of them have 4.5mm – so plenty of useful life! I swapped them round front to rear a couple of times hence the fairly even wear. I fitted them to my Corrado TDi last year when I finished the build as I think they really suit the Corrado. When I bought them they needed refurbing so I took them to The Wheel Specialists in Burton-on-Trent, who refurbed them – I have the receipt for this which will go with the wheels. While they were being refurbed I sourced a set of new BBS chrome centre caps from Germany at a cost of £70. Also, this winter while the car was off the road and when I was debating whether or not to sell I had the alloy centre nuts and wheel nut covers mirror polished which makes them look great. All of the wheels are completely unmarked, no kerbing or damage of any sort. The refurbers commented on how straight they were, no eggs or buckles of any sort either. The tyres are in good condition, all hold air and the wheels are balanced so basically ready to fit. I waxed them three times with Poorboys wheel wax too so the brake dust just slides off them! I’ll let the pictures do the talking now: Here’s how they look on a Corrado: I’d like £700 or near offer for them please. Bear in mind that they’re absolutely perfect, they have 4 good, decent quality tyres (see reviews), £70 worth of centre caps, the BBS centre spanner and will literally need nothing doing – ready to fit! Collection from DE56 2JQ Derbyshire please. I would consider couriering them but to be honest I would rather they were collected to avoid damage to them. Thanks Tom

Poll250 - Checked the ABS light and it ends in AA I'm afraid. You'll need a late-spec one as I'm sure you know! EJ Taylor - front bumper has gone I'm afraid! -
If it's OBD2 then the ABS should be the later Teves 20 system....not easy to fit to the Corrado but I did it to the TDi and in my opinion its well worth doing! Aircon should be relatively easy to fit, you'd have to get the heater box out to fit the ABS anyway :-)

Rear beam, front bearing carriers, front and rear calipers (although rears not up to much!), front wishbones, front arb, drive shafts. Front subframe will fit with slight modifications too. Central locking pump, ABS system would be a good catch too! Quite a lot if interchangeable items tbh!

Wishbone bush sleeve removal?????? Ahhhh, please help
Purple Tom replied to VR6Joni's topic in Drivetrain
I presume you've got the wishbone bolt itself out? If so then there really shouldn't be that much holding it in to be honest. You should be able to slide the front wishbone bush out from its mounting point at the front of the subframe and pivot the wishbone itself towards the rear of the car. I don't know how you're doing it but it makes it much easier to remove the bearing carrier complete from the car when doing this. Obviously that means undoing the hub nut, unbolting the caliper, removing the disc, unbolting the bearing carrier from the strut and wishbone and then removing it from the CV joint, but it does give you a LOT more room when manouvering the wishbone out and back into position, especially when you factor in that you'll have fitted new bushes. It also helps to unbolt the ARB from the wishbones on both sides of the car because you can then pivot it up and out of the way of the wishbone itself. Of course, if you've done all of that then I'm not really sure what else is holding it in. It could be that the subframe has somehow deformed and is pinning the sleeve in place but I'd have thought that with a decent lever you'd be able to get it out again. If the bushes have been replaced with poly then that's got to have been done within the last 10 years so I seriously doubt that its corrosion that's taken hold, unless the car has been parked in the sea!! HTH a bit. Tom -
I agree. I did a TDi conversion on an 8V, along with a full widetrack conversion too (VR6 running gear - wishbones, hubs, suspension, driveshafts, rear beam etc). I had the TDi donor and the benefit of a full VR6 donor to be going on with and luckily didn't need to purchase anything other than nuts, bolts and service items. If you simply just have an engine then you'll find there are an awful lot of other parts that you need that you won't have, even if you stay with the 8V narrow track running gear. It's not a difficult conversion to do, I'm going to be putting a VR6 in a 16V (from a VR6 donor) in a couple of weeks time and have allowed a week to do it, but it can be time consuming if you get halfway through and realise you need a part that you don't have. Good luck with it whatever you decide to do :-)

Paul - the coolant hoses are spoken for, as mentioned in the advert. I do however have a couple of VR6 hoses in very good condition left over from a previous car that I broke if that's any good to you? Would do the pair for £20 posted. Cheers Tom -

Nathan Harvey - that'll be in with the regulators which I'm selling with the doors I'm afraid! Blue95 - I've got the grille and badge, the grille is missing one tab but tbh it doesn't affect the way it fits and also makes it slightly easier to get to the bonnet release mechanism should the cable ever snap (I speak from experience!!). The badge is good - let me know if you're still interested - £22 posted for the pair. g60karmann - bonnet, bumper and both wings are spoken for currently - I'll let you know if it changes. The tailgate is pretty good, no major scratches although it does have a little bit of rust around the number plate light recess, nothing huge though tbh. KHAWAR16 - I'll let you know if anything changes. Cheers - anything else please ask! -
Not sure if it's related but I have an error on the site saying '1 unread message' in the PM alert when my inbox is showing as all read. I know there's a PM that's been sent but I haven't received it - related problem maybe?
