Please add me for set
-
@tonedef thanks for heads up.

Hi All, I'm in process of collecting all required rubbers, trim prior prior to a full respray on my VR6. I understand the outer scrapers are prone to breaking when removing but does the same apply to the inner scrapers. Gus.
-
Is he an independent windscreen replacement guy? Whats the company name does he operate under?
-
Outer scrapers from Vintage Rubber work out to around £104 each, would they be cheaper than this if they were available in UK.
-
Count me in. Its one of the few items stalling my much needed respray.

Was on the blower with NGK Tech support today, they recommended the NGK BKR5EKUP for the VR6, stated they should be changed at 40,60k miles regardless of age, but more so the mileage of use. The NGK BKR5EKU can also be used but changed every 10-20k miles.
-
Just checking the history and the last set were changed to BKR5EKUP in 2010 at 102,500 miles. The cars currently on 122,412 miles. So have done 20K miles in 9yrs, still worth changing ???
-
Are these now definitely the defacto spark plugs for the VR6 Bosch FR7KPP33+. As I believe the NGK BKR5EKUP are now discontinued.

Where is the best place and brand to go for regarding ABS Sensors, there seems to be a lot of options on the Bay.

So took Raddo out of 6 months storage last weekend to get it MOT'd, which went through with no advisories, and decided I cant bring myself to selling it (Just Yet!) Still also undecided on which Porsche, but in the meantime picked up another straight 6 coupe I always liked the look of to add to the collection.

Hi, I'm considering the BC Racing Coilovers over the KW v2's because of the softer springs 5/4kg compared to the 7/5kg of the KW's http://www.bc-racing.co.uk/applications/volkswagen-coilovers/vw-golf-jetta-ii-iii-mk3-93-98/br-series-coilover-type-rn-3.html Is anyone else using these already and how do they find the ride and build quality. PS: They have no rust protection but its a dry weather car only and will probably coat them in ACF 50 spray.

Anyone have that black plastic rear number plate surround?

Wanted: Passenger side indicator lense for a 1995 VR6 Gus.

For sale is my rare VW Bora 1.8T Sport. (180bhp) It was previously owned for many years by my VW Indie mechanic, ISA Technik (Google him) Ian there can more than vouch for the car. So onto the car, its both mechanically and visually in very good condition. Straight bodywork and polishes up real well. Interior consists of heated Black Leather Recaros in excellent condition. Comes with 17inch BBS RX alloy wheels. Stainless steel exhaust. New clutch by previous owner Recent new rear caliper New leather gear stick gator New Mats Recent full service inc plugs in Dec. MOT: Expires: 11.12.2019 Car has covered 160k miles but still drives like its done half that, probably due it having yearly oil changes all its life. Overall the cars in great condition as I am very OCD with my cars, both from a cleaning and maintenance stand point. PS: Still have the original plastic engine cover. SOLD!

Sadly I'm selling this next April onwards. as I've decided to make the move to a Porsche 996/997 I'll post up my own detailed classified add in the New Year, but here's a little preview. So after purchasing my Raddo VR6 from Gibbo back in Nov 2015 @ 120,193 miles, even though there was no sound of any rattle or anything . The paranoid freak in me could not relax until I new the chains/tensioner were sorted. So was booked into Stealth 7 months later @120,681 miles. Was also talked into getting the SP 263 cams and clutch at the same time. I've spent close to £3,500k on it in my 3yrs of ownership. Its now just over 122k Miles, not been driven hard at all, and not even decided what I let it go for. Some guidance here would be appreciated. PS: Gibbo if your still on this forum and interested in buying it back let me know, she's still lookin tidy as when you owned it. Gus.

That's what I thought, I'm sure there was someone who sold there Blackberry VR last year and bought a Silver/Grey 911. Couldn't find the original post.

Has anyone made the move to a 996 from a Corrado VR6, with the current prices of early to mid year 996's, they do seem tempting. Just like the Raddo would only be used as a second weekend car during the spring/summer months.

Insurance is up in a couple of days, have been with Adrian Flux (Trinity lane Classic) for the last 12 months, renewals only gone up by £16, but has anyone had any decent quotes elsewhere recently. I have VR6, modded, West Midlands postal code, parked on drive and 2000 miles limit per year and the renewal quote is £208 fully comp.
