Here is a photo of a removed dash. It shows where the two bolts are at the top of the dash. I think it's a 10mm spanner to remove the nuts. 2008_0928Image0155.JPG[/attachment:8pmepj9u]

I believe the looms DO unplug just inside the A pillars on both sides. Neither side plugs direct into the fusebox. You may have to search inside that foam covering but they're there.

Wishful thinking I'm afraid.
-
Do they have their own Stig too?
-
And load the car engine first so the main weight goes towards the towbar/front of the trailer.

Thanks!

Thanks Danny b. I'm glad all went well with the MOT :thumbleft:

Thanks Alexander, it's nice to get a mention. You pay promptly, I deliver promptly :)

Yep, there are little tabs that clips the back of the switch into the outer casing. Prise them open and the two parts seperate easily.
-
Yes it does need the bump strips removed. Are you getting the handles painted white too?
-
Good purchase! And welcome. That's a nice looking car you've got yourself.

This has happened to others on here before and if I remember rightly as you are the innocent party you can demand that the third parties insurance fix your car.
-
Sorry the photo is crap but with a thin blade around the edge at the back of the switch. 2008_0809Image0073.JPG[/attachment:128kx1of]

Do certain car brands/makes attract a certain kind of person

anders, that is so spot on  Trouble is you get those same people at any Triumph meet. -
Start at £500 to take it off his hands as you're doing him a favour. Increase the offer a bit if you think the car is worth it but as bristolbaron rightly says, no more than £800-£1000.

Calling planet Zog -is there room for Gordon Brown

If I remember the Tories introduced free road tax on 'classic' cars over a certain age. And that it was a rolling thing. Labour dumped the idea when they came to power. Think it stopped at cars registered in 1972 or earlier. Thanks Labour! -
Shame the little sh1t didn't glue himself to the seat. I have a handbrake handle from the 16V I'm breaking. Just pay the postage on it and you can have it for free.

That is a lot of money for those items. I have sent heavy stuff to the US and it has taken at least 6 weeks to get there via surface post. He might have sent it that way?

and other than a new bonnet (on it's way soon via shaung60...thankyou :D) Glad to help :) Now I don't want to see another G60 broken when it could be saved. I'm rather fond of them too. Especialy after all the work you've done on it. I'm presently breaking a 93 16V that took a hard knock to the drivers side. It was a well looked after car with less than 85,000 on the clock. The passenger side sill and floorpan are perfect. I don't know if it will fit your G60 but if you want to cut out the bits you need (for a small fee of course :D though a fraction of what VW would charge you) then be my guest. I can send you some photos if you want.

Was gonna sell the 'Rado, but now maybe not....

Just ring the insurance company that you have the NCB with. They'll confirm how long it lasts. -

I think they are valid for 2 years. If you don't use it before your 2 years expires then you've lost it for good. That's the way it used to work. Might have changed now though. -
Take the M3 down to Winchester, then take the A272 East as far as Petworth and then head South on the A285 until you reach Chichester. Roads are a blast and the views are superb. That's you sorted. Walk around Chichester, hit the shops, do lunch, go to the beach. That's the wife sorted. Then a gentle run back home on the A286 and pick up the A3 at Hindhead, Milford or Guildford and back home.

Trev, Sorry to hear about that. Hope you are both OK and it was just the car that suffered the damage. As with any insurance company, don't take their first offer. Direct Line made millions in profit last year so can afford to give you a decent payout. Should you decide to fix it then I am slowly breaking a late 16V that had less than 85,000 on the clock. I'd be willing to cut out as much of the shell that you would need. Regards, Shaun.

Yes it is. Done by a number of people on here so I'm sure somebody has written up how to do it. Also change your indicator/MFA/wiper stalks and steering column surround to complete the change.

Cheers junkie. And thanks for such a fast payment.
