  1. The Corrado has a bigger engine. Remember there is no substitute for cubic inches.
  2. Save it. And buy all the bits you need to fix it from the 1.8 16V I'm breaking :)
  3. Thanks veedub21. Another easy guy to deal with.
  4. And my thanks to samthegram for the fast payment too. An easy fella to deal with.
  5. No I believe it's slightly different. The plastic 'outer shell' is the same as are the fixing points through the bulkhead. It's the metal 'inner shell' that's different. The metal brackets behind the centre console below the heater controls are different. On the early dash the cubby hole behind the gearstick was shallow compared to the later cubby hole which was deeper. So if you try and fit a later centre console to an early dash you'll find it will foul against this bracket and won't fit without modification of some sort. So in theory you should be ok to fit a later dash shell and put an early centre console into it. Sorry for the waffle. Hope that makes sense.
  6. But some K plate VR6's came with an early interior :dorky:
  7. Didnt some of the later G60's have ABS aswell?[/quote:7udhi5an] I believe the late G60 came with the "VR6" front end of bulge bonnet, wide front wings, late headlights, 3 bar grille, late bumper with fogs and indicators, 15 gallon fuel tank and ABS.
  8. My K plater was first registered 13/11/92.
  9. The fixing points for the rear hump. This is from an '89 car... 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfDscf4702.jpg[/attachment:2zb9thpu] Dscf4703.jpg[/attachment:2zb9thpu]

    hidden tailpipes

If not I'd be happy to help source a rear bumper with someone to share part of it in return. Did somebody say my name? Yes I still have the bits left.
  11. Do you use the same garage each time you need work done on your car? Have you tried anywhere else? I only ask as just along the coast from you in Littlehampton are two Corrado experts at JMR or G-Werks. Their labour costs might be cheaper and they do know their stuff about a Corrado.
  12. I found an old ad for it... http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/744940.htm
  13. I remember when you put this up for sale on here. I was tempted but it was too far away. And I've seen it come up for sale (I think) on Ebay, Pistonheads and Ebay again. And each time it's coming further South. I think one seller was asking roughly £2000 for it. One ad had that the sunroof had been sealed by silicone sealant. It had 'leaked in the past but was alright now' to quote the ad. The present seller states that it came in as a PX so maybe he doesn't know about the water leak? Looking at the ad I reckn he's not into C's. Anyway it's the second time he's placed an ad. Last week it was at the starting price of £800 and he had no bids. Now it's £950 Buy It Now or offers.
  14. Why buy new? I went to my local booty and bought an old trolly jack for £3. Still works perfect as it seems to have been built to last. 'Made in Britain' so the label says. For axle stands I used Fleabay. Searched and found a retired chap selling 2 sets in the same auction. A light weight pair and a very heavy duty pair. Too heavy to post so not many bids. Got them for £20. The bargains are out there.
  15. And another one for Andy665. First class service from the guy.
  16. ..........................Or maybe the interior had been fitted after to a car that already had A/C??? I didn't think of that :)
  17. Well for what it's worth I once found a VR6 in the scrapyard that had A/C and heated leather seats but no loom or switch for the heated seats. It hadn't been removed before I got there so I just assumed the dealer removed the loom when they fitted the A/C
  18. but you're saying it's just a thing rubber piece? Perhaps something could be glued on. Yes, as the photo shows it's just a thin bit of rubber. I'd just glue a new bit on the end.
  19. Does this help? I sold the part and this is the only photo I took of it. It's just a round thin piece of rubber on the end... 2008_1111Image0003.JPG[/attachment:3gbv9zrq]
  20. Noooooo! Such a lovely car. I was lucky enough to see it in the flesh. Indeed do go and buy an old banger and drive that for a while until you decide on the right course of action.

    dash removal

Shaung60 right 10mm bolts but bit of a twit with fat fingers like I have may be easier with the wiper motor off I used a ratchet spanner which helped speed things up.
  22. Reading that I guess they are talking about the fusebox. It's where all the relays plug and it has the black slide bar in the centre that you slide so you can remove the plug ends of the looms from the fusebox. The TV's must refer to the positions on the fusebox that the looms plug into. But as Supercharged has already said the two single wire plugs plug into the top of the fusebox. I guess it's round the back of the fusebox as you look at it. There can't be that many empty single plugs slots. Can there?
  23. So far i've worked out i could:- Extend and put a plug on the end of the grey/blue wire to fuse box Extend and put a plug on the end of the black wire that comes from the black plug further down loom, then that goes to fuse box But where does the little black wire from the switch go? and also, where in the fuse box do i put the two plugs? Any help is greatly wanted!! Grey/Blue wire has a small plug and does go straight to the fusebox Brown wire does join the main loom to position 6 on the plug that connects the two parts of the loom together Black wire from the switch end joins the black wire from the loom plug end and together they form a single wire that has a small plug on the end and does go straight to the fusebox 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdf2008_1103Image0036.JPG[/attachment:md31tlev] 2008_1103Image0037.JPG[/attachment:md31tlev]
  24. Fuse no.9 as they only work when the HRW switch is on.
