The "Will these wheels and tyres fit" thread
dragon green replied to gradeAfailure's topic in Exterior
I have checked the whole thread, but can’t find the answer ! 7 x 15 et 20 cars lowered on KW’s can I go to a 215 x 45 Or should I just stick with 195x 50’s ? Original wheels are et35 (4stud car) so the extra 15mm will fill out the arches better, will they fit without rubbing -

Just my 2p There are early and late doors ! I have one of each, the later doors have extra reinforcement, which needs trimming,to fit the early mirror control, I had no problem with the hinges

Just checked the date on the pic,December 2012 !

My corrado, it really made it feel stiffer on the corners, I did replace it, but with a BBM alloy one, that’s quick release, Makes life easier, if I have anything large to carry in the boot. Mines used as a daily, so everything has to be practical
-
Someone was making their own version of the trimsport one, and there was a group buy on here, a long time ago. I had one, very well made, worth the money
-
I made mine “quick release” so much easier to check the fluids
-
It was entertaining, not enough detail, Nowhere as good as the wheeler dealer episode, but very much a watch for the enthusiast

I have the eilbach on mine, you don’t notice the difference as much as the rear strut bar, until you really start to push it.Uprated anti roll bars are definitely the way to go, then the rear strut, then the front strut
-
The listings don’t show a corrado !

MOT today, One advisory (one tyre getting low) 281k been working local, so mileage has slowed down

Got to love 11” discs on the rear, only just go under 15” wheels,(bit of caliper shaving) [emoji1]

Thank you, I’m after the offside, (drivers)

I’ve got headlight protectors on, they really help,(I’ve got spare lenses) I’ve got lamin-x over the fogs and indicator’s, didn’t stop a fog light getting cracked [emoji22], I bought a set of tinted plastic lenses from corrado farm parts (USA) I did the indicators, and one fog, am trying to get a damaged fog, to put the other onto, as I don’t want to ruin a good fog, Got three sets of indicators, and 2 1/2 fogs, I’ve still got the hi-spec four pot calipers on the front, they’ve done about 180k now, apart from routine cleaning,(pads, pins etc) they are so much more reliable then OE, I’ve had about 3 sets (new) of rear calipers (mk4)

Yep 1.8t, mileage 280k, I got my mechanic mate to do the beam for me, I had new rear discs, pads etc I was going to put on for the MOT,(next month) so they went on the rear, he found one of the carrier pins had snapped ! Luckily I had a spare carrier in my stash of spares

Rear wheel was looking a bit out of sorts ! Thought I had bent a stub axle, further investigation, and my rear beam had rusted through, and my rear wheel was nearly touching the strut ! Note. This wasn’t the original one, but one I got off eBay, about 14 years ago when the car nearly got wrote off The one I replaced it with ,is a Mk2 golf, (blasted and painted) with new bushes, bolts etc
-
Thank you, but I got one of farcebook a lot nearer
-
If it helps, I’ve got a mk2 rear beam on mine, yes I’m abs, had no problems fitting it
