Sean Jaymo - Grey Scale!! Pg8 - Go on have a look!

I think it was due to there being very few ordered. Not sure if the colour was phased out? There are 5 at the most that I can think of. If that. Most of the grey ones left seem to be G60's -

i'm unsure on this; i also have a K reg VR with the late interior and a coilpack. i was thinking they were quite rare too, unsure for certain... when was yours first registered? mine was 30/06/1993... by the way Shaun, your car is looking lovely. i have been umming and arrring over the headlight detailing for a while now - you've just made my mind up - top work! :D i'm sure you will be loving the KW's before long too![/quote:1e8ztlbh] Well done on the lights! It's the best "cheap" mod. £5 and a few hours of my time! The little drive i've had on the KW's has been surprisingly good actually! Very impressive!!! The rare item is having a 92 VR and a it being Grey as far as I have been lead to believe! -

Will do boys! I finished fitting them in the dark about a hour ago... Will let her settle for a few days before I change the height. Currently sitting at -50mm all round I think. I wanna go lower but live in the sticks, commute to more sticks to see the girlfriend and have big speed bumps where I work/live. I can't see an issue with getting lower though! Pictures tomorrow tho! -

Cheers guys! She had a bath on Friday afternoon and i'm loving the colour again! Shame it just shows the tattyness of the paint underneath! KW Variant 1's are going on. I was initially going to go for the V3's but decided that they are a bit ott for a daily which tracks once or twice a year at the most! Fingers crossed that they are as comfortable as I have been lead to believe! -

Cheers Phil! Watch this space! Coilovers are on their way..... -
I've looked through this thread and can't see the answer I am after.... I am off to the ring in a few weeks time and have decided to replace my tired old knackered original setup with Koni TA's and H&R springs... Thing is, with all of the searching i've done, I cant seem to find anyone who sells the shocks and i'm not sure what specific type of springs people are using? Any help on this would be most appreciated :) Are the TA's called something else in the rest of the world??

Bennys Corrado VR6 !! built to be drivern ! BREAKING !!!!!!!
Sean_Jaymo replied to CorradoRun's topic in Members Gallery
Yeah I had obviously heard of a Corrado, I just wasn't aware they did a 2.9! I had a daft thought that they did a 1.8 and a 2.0 and that was all! Funnily enough my VR6 is one of the best cars i've ever owned....! Yeah it is going to be lowered but I am deciding what I want to put on now... I've taken my Golf twice to the 'ring and the Corrado is going in April. Should be something!! -
On a further note for this.... I had the same problem, Cleaned out the ISV, Slightly better. Checked all pipes, all good except for a massive leak coming from the pipe between the bottom of the throttle and the MAF housing! Turns out, it wasn't too well routed and was sat on top of the exhaust manifold!! Fixed the pipe and re-routed and all is tickity boo!!

Ahhh I did wonder if this car was on any of the forums!! I bought a tatty old set of RX's from you last May to put on my Black Mk4 Golf... Needless to say, looking at your car persuaded me to buy my own one!! Here are those wheels now after a refurb! -
Biggerbigben - Golf sold.. another new project!

At a push yeah... 300 to 320 is more reliable though! Still overly excessive for a Corrado! Yes!!! -
Time for the dirty bum of the year award??!?!!!

Well, about a week ago, before the snow started coming in! I had a few spare hours so I went out and did this little mod I've been wanting to do for a while now! Start During After At the DCO meet last weekend... Really chuffed with how this came out considering it cost me a fiver and a few hours of my time! Only wish I now had some decent, non smashed to pieces fogs! Ho hum.... It's a project I guess... -
Looks like that oil cooler may be a bit of an overkill to be honest but looks cool as so all is good!!!

Right, seeing as I still have a fair amount of time on my hands after getting back, I decided it would be a good idea to replace the oil filter as I never managed to the other day due to the housing being stuck on and in fear of cracking it! I went out and got myself the 36mm socket needed and a new filter housing from VW. £18.91 plus the dreaded which I didn't think was too bad knowing what VW can be like! Swapped that today. The old filter had a date stamp of 2005 on it! Doesn't mean much I know but still old! So anyway, new one of those fitted along with the new bracket and screws for the fuel filter to hold that in place so all done now! Seeing as I had a few hours of daylight left and I had some new centre caps for my alloys that were bought in July which needed fitting, I decided it would be a "good idea" to fit them and give the wheels a quick spruce up whilst I was at it! 2 and a half hours later......! Also fitted my looking nuts which really should have been fitted before now and some bolt caps to spruce it all up! Old vs New caps Got carried away so out came the clay bar! This is the result! Some well named wax! Finished one! 3 left and then I could warm my fingers up!! Tomorrows installment should be a wash if my fingers warm up! Oh and the reason my fans weren't coming on? The lecky plug on the back of them had come off! Odd!! Oh well back on now and all is well!! -

Don't even joke!! :D -
Will be good to see what the costs are in the end as this is a route I am likely to be following during the summer seeing as mine is on 153k now! Preventive maintenance and all that! Shall hopefully be able to stave off my want to stick a 3.2 in!!

Glad you are making some sort of progress! It's been very quiet on your car front on here! Any ideas on when the whole lot should come together? -
^^^^ What he said! Also the early dashboards have vertical vents as apposed to horizontal ones! Welcome to the world of corrado geekery!

It's ok :) Strange mine has the old interior and the old Dizzy engine! Looks like a complete mis-mash of cars were built at this time!! Yours looks great! Looks like a more tidier example than mine! I'm sure mine has been through a hedge at some point.... -
I'll PM you in a bit! A mini meet would be great!!
