  2. Well managed to get a few hours spare this afternoon to replace the clutch slave and master cylinders! Clutch pedal now feels great but when I select reverse, 1st, 3rd and 5th, the gears seem to slush into place but work perfectly well? Any ideas?
  3. Some of you boys are going to hate me then! None of that exterior tat you mention but other things.....
  4. Lol some people eh! As if you had a spare lump knocking about! I want your garage! Mind you I wouldn't have the space for it as it full of spare Corrado interior after my swap!
  5. Been playing online this evening and it's transpires that i'm shi-ite! Haven't even finished a single race! I think the cowards who keep trashing you off everytime you over take doesn't help!
  6. Blue, I think? J reg in Witney Yesterday afternoon. Didn't see you until I had turned at the lights and was going up the hill towards the A40...
  7. When are you guys next doing this? I may come gate CRASH if welcome?

  9. Blue rado parked up in Waitrose car park, Witney. L Reg... Thought it was mine for a second as it was so dirty! Glad i'm not the only person who doesn't wash their car over winter!
  10. Give it time my man :) Got a few little other little projects to do over the chrimbo period...!
  11. Yes please, that would be great! For most of the wiring was it just a case of redoing the existing wiring or did you buy adapter wiring? think kris was asking about the dash fitment, im also wondering about that, it looks like there wasn't any fabrication needed but what do i know lol! Let me know what dials you have and I'll get you some pin outs... Yeah sorry missed that question from Kris completely! Must have been side tracked at home at the time! The fit is pretty reasonable. I only had to cut out a 1.5 inch strip in the length and cut the door cards to fit. The doors are going to be covered to match in the near future so will deal with the cut away part then! Also need to sort out a few more panels to neaten stuff up.
  12. Ask away! Willing to help... I can get you some pin out diagrams from instrument clusters and you can work from there. The new clocks are showing a nats over 51k at the moment but I recorded the old mileage in my folder for when I get the right software to add the old mileage to the new. Kris, The steering wheel will physically fit on the old column but you need to fit slip rings so that the horn will work. Size wise, it is the same size as the old one give or take a few mm! The new wheel is awesome to drive with, the flat bottom gives a great feel! :norty:
  13. Thanks mate! I thought that it would be rude to not post it up there seeing as it is more of a 38 thing than a Corrado forum thing! Been reading that site for years and have made a total of 4 posts or something like that!! The clocks are early mk4 ones, anything after 1999.5 runs more on can-bus so become more a nause to fit if you want to keep standard sensors and the like. There is still loads to sort out but have been commuting my 60 odd mile a day trip and all is good so far :) 1 Rattle in total! Result in my eyes!
  14. Cheers mate! I'll get it out to some meets and shows once she is finished :)
  15. Thanks for all the kind responses! All in all, it took me just about a week to do the swap but a few months to do all of the planning, prep and research! It's 90% there at the moment. Just need to make a up a few end cards for the dash, some panels for above the centre tunnel and getting the air ducting in properly. The biggest problem I had was sourcing stuff to work with the dash but wasn't on a can-bus system. The dials are all fully functional but are the earlier ones so no centre info screen like most mk4 era cars. I was after this more as I didn't want to make the car interior look too modern for the exterior of the car. The beauty with the new dials are that the fuel gauge is now rock solid no matter how it's driven unlike the standard gauge.
  16. Random picture from the rollers last week, thought it looked cool! Also..... Been working on a project for the last few months, getting pieces together and researching... I'll let the pictures do the talking.... Short timeline... Dash is from the 8P1 shape Audi A3 with Porsche Boxster Tombstones (will get some better pics actually now I think of it!) and a Mk6 Golf GTi steering wheel. Seats are half leather/half alcantara with electric backs. I retrimmed the dash lower portions in grey alcantara and the centre console is a custom built carbon fibre panel with light/ancillary switches and mk4 heater controls. There is still a lot of work to finish it, not to mention a damn good hoover! What do you lot reckon?
  17. Looks good! A good life experience and all that!
  18. I've got KW V1's on mine and have done close on 15k on them, ride comfort is lovely except I do have 17's with a 40 profile and with the higher tyre pressures in a VR, I do notice it when I go over the rough sections. Saying that, I do 60 miles a day in my commute and wouldn't change them for anything less than V3's but with current prices over £1100, it's just not justifiable! Saying that, it probably sounds worse than it actually is as somebody had the dash out in the past for the heater matrix and I doubt they refitted it properly! Got a cure for that coming up soon tho.......!
  19. That's me! What car were you in? I normally notice a few Rados going the other way on the toll bridge, seems like a good meeting place lol Drove 250 miles yesterday and didnt see a single C! :( Andy I've seen you around Witney before! I commute over Swinford toll everyday and have only seen 1 other! Got my missus well trained, she spots you around town quite often as well!! I have a (often minging dirty) grey VR on BBS's. Living over at Madley Park, quite often a few lovely mk2's and the like kicking around!
  20. Awesome car! Hope it behaves itself for you! Look forward to seeing it in the flesh at Stealth for the rollers!
  21. I commute 60 miles a day in mine with 167k on the clock and wouldn't change the bone shaking, fuel guzzling or maintenance for anything!
