  1. If it's anything like mine, the only thing left not touched on the entire car is the shell (needs bodyshop) and the steering group column (probably has play in the top knuckle!)
  2. Tis the season to pull engines out it seems! What's next? Everyone pulling out dashboards?
  3. I'll have a cap as well please :-) Glad there as been a response eventually!
  4. I saw your post Bill and it made me more aware of that little scam! But as you say, I'll be keeping get it for a good while yet! I got caught out when I cancelled a normal policy and was charged £50 for the privilege! Fine, except my refund was £54 before fees! Regardless of the intentions of the many insurance companies on here, I always feel like I'm a victim of a cartel! Especially when you hear them saying that prices need to be higher. They are still making money, they wouldn't be in the business otherwise! I'll stop before this turns into a rant!
  5. Some people just love a bit of self harm!
  6. Cheers mate! I was kind of thinking of figures along those lines. Hopefully will be having mine back on the road in the summer :)
  7. Any other people want to share their quotes? Preferably those over 30 with a few years NCB on their policy!
  8. I'm patient but I would like to see some kind of progress! The part number on my steering wheel is 1H0 419 091 F so that is different to the one listed on the website, but i'm not sure what has changed regarding part numbers.
  9. I know mate, I'd have bought it as well! I bought my first VR from the same guy. Good bloke, switched on and fair! My wife did something similar last year so I have full sympathy for you!
  10. I'm sure you said between the lines that you want to fit a r32 lump!
  11. You are best off finding a complete breaker mk5 and taking everything and I mean everything from the mk5 and fit it into a Corrado shell. You will have bodges everywhere to get it to work properly. You will also have issues to get things like the speedo and rev counter to work as they work off canbus and you will struggle to get them to work in a stock Corrado, let alone confusing the situation with having a 1.8t. You could save yourself the issue by getting a broken mk5 gti, strip it and move everything, complete wiring loom and all and grafting it in. That will be hugely simpler and have a much better end result. Just my opinion though. Do what you want, but I know how I would approach it.
  12. Another request for progress information if possible. I'm after possibly fitting the 24v 6 branch mated to the cat back system. I could be very interested if Peter has progressed this!
  13. Looking great. I couldn't think why they didn't at least do an option black interior. Much nicer! Did you simply dye the visors?
  14. Do you need one of these per car or two? I'm too lazy to go and look under the bonnet!
  15. I'll have one if another batch materialises. Thanks.
  16. We have a cee'd as a fleet car at work and I'm impressed. It's a bit gutless but does drive surprisingly well and has made me think about the brand in a different way.
  17. Nice gauge! I assume it lights up green?
  18. I'd like to know why he has disappeared off the face of the earth?
  19. I've seen mx5 mirrors grafted on and they almost work but the standard 'mclaren' mirrors do it for me!
