  1. The 167 relay would also cause the engine to fail. It's the fuel pump relay which I believe also controls the injectors. It would stop the injectors firing if there was no fuel pressure if the pump wasn't working.
  2. Another day, another update! Fitted new brake lines and clips to the rear beam and then fitted that back to the vehicle. Points of interest when fitting rear beam, it's really fecking awkward to do on your own! Even with a trolley jack and a few spare axle stands!
  3. Ah thanks guys, I thought it would be. There is a spare plug for a brake light feed coming from the 'f' or 'g1' plug I think from memory! Handily for me, I thought this might be the answer and left it accessible when I was tidying up the fuse box wiring last week. Thanks again guys. Next question, does anyone know what the circuit in the b4 light looks like? I may just make the circuit board up myself!
  4. Those new wheels are so much better than the junk you had to start with! The original wheels are just soo heavy! I ended up giving mine away years ago to get rid of them! I like the way this is going!
  5. Unfortunately not this time, it would be a very long 2 weeks on holiday with the wife if these pitch up! Especially seeing as my car isn't anywhere near being put on the road! It would be a very expensive ornament! Very tempted though!
  6. Unfortunately, my nearest offer, wouldn't be close to yours!
  7. The stalks don't even come close to fitting in this case. The best you could do is wire the Corrado fuse stalks into the mk4 cruise loom to make a hybrid. Not looked at the wiring from a Corrado cruise stalk but if you should be able to do something with it.
  8. It's a counterweight used to dampen out vibration on the subframe caused by the engine. In theory you shouldn't notice vibrations from the engine bay through the steering wheel. Or your arse! Lovely looking car mate!
  9. I'm doing exactly the same thing on mine at the moment except I'm using cupro nickel. It's just as resistant to corrosion as the stock steel stuff but just as easy to work with as copper. I personally find copper to not last more than a few years without starting to corrode badly. You can of course paint copper if you wanted to reduce the corrosion. A reel of the cupro nickel stuff costs 22 to 25 quid online.
  10. Have a look at this thread for inspiration! Click
  11. That's where I "sourced" a lot of my bits from! It's not an adapter as far as i'm aware, it's the same switch as the mk4 but with a Corrado friendly plug so I'd imagine it wouldn't look messy at all. My local TPS is an hour away, so it really does boil down to whether I can be bothered to swap the plugs. The loom is wrapped nice and neatly, so you would never notice I'd swapped the plugs over apart fromt here being a mk4 style plug in the bay. But then I do have a 24v in there already and the mk4 coolant bottle so plenty of those new plugs already! Do you know what car the corrado friendly switch came from? My local scrappy is not that well stocked with VW's. Plenty of Fords and French pap tho!
  12. Yeah, not Passat B4, not sure if there are any differences apart from the warning loom and light.
  13. For reference, I bought my entire teves system from Kev on here for 60quid including the servo but minus the warning light.
  14. I understand perfectly, cheers Tom, appreciated!
  15. I suppose there is more than 1 way to skin a cat!
  16. You git! How much is the package? The timing is perfect for the 256 brakes, I have the calipers already and the beam is waiting for me to fit everything post paint and new bushes! Those seats I bought of you the other month were spot on by the way! Thanks!
  17. 256mm conversion! Talk to me please! Also, you wouldn't happen to know where there is a spare abs light for the teves would you? Oh and nice car!
  18. Probably best finding the needles from another set of clocks. I think that some 90's audis had light up needles that fitted if you wanted illuminated needles? I'll have a look for where I saw it!
  19. Are you the lucky owner of that intake then?!
  20. There is a temp sensor there that the climate panel takes it's feed from if the external mk4 sensor isn't plugged in or working. If you hook up the diagnostic, you will have a fault code for the external air temp. You do need to wire in a separate mk4 temp sensor.
  21. I forgot to as well! I have the 02j reverse switch and some wires coming from it, just deciding on if I can be bothered to swap the plugs or spend 10 quid!
  22. Extra ones? I didn't have any extra wires? This is the basic wiring you need to get the engine running G1 /02 outside air temp G1 /03 Fuel pump trigger G1/04 15 +12V for ECU , VSS, G1/05 Earth G1/07 ECU Earth Trigger Wire- G1/08 Fuel Pump Relay Output- AMM, Lambdas G1/10 ECU Relay Output (109) ECU Injectors,Coils G1/11 VSS G1/12 ECU Tach Signal
