  1. I received mine on Saturday and fitted this afternoon! The only shiney thing in my bay at the moment! I hope this isn't the start of a slippery slope!
  2. Last post on this topic before it goes off subject but why don't you have a build thread Dave?
  3. My clutch switch is a 2 pin job removed from my '00 donor 4mo. You're right, it's just a switch so wire it up how you like!
  4. Would that include compressor, radiator, airbox etcetera?
  5. You probably have a dodgy relay. I'll look at my electric diagram and let you know!
  6. Yeah I can post them out, can you pm me your address for me to get a quote for you. Thanks mate.
  7. I'd go with supercharged suggestion of a faulty ignition switch. The exciter wire for the starter should only have 12v going through it when the ignition switch is in the 3rd position.
  8. All rado vr6's had 280mm brakes and they are fully interchangeable. The Golfs had 288 brakes fitted to the later run out cars. If you want these for a rado, they will definitely fit! I have 2 sets, 1 set is a bit grubby but work perfectly well and are ready to bolt straight on. The other set has been blasted and primered but needs pistons and seals and some paint to be as new when you fit them.
  9. Well the 138k Passarati flew through its mot without even an advisory! I also have a 50 quid bag of bolts from VW to rebuild the back end fully! Just need to get my rear beam back from the garage after having new bushes pressed in and get some new brake pipes to complete it all!
  10. I know this is for billet and carbon requests, but seeing as you do badges, I would be interested in front and rear old style VR6+ badges!
  11. Not the best picture, but these are what they look like and where they bolt on. They bolt onto the back of the caliper with 2x M8 x 10 bolts. If these don't sell, i'll just try and fab them onto the 288 calipers and see what's what!
  12. Give me a moment, ill try and get a picture up! ---------- Post added at 11:40 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:12 AM ---------- Lucky you asked me! I was sold them a while back as fitting onto 280mm calipers. Looking at the part numbers, my versions are for 239mm calipers! Bugger! Teach me not to research before buy or selling! Luckily I never sold these to anyone on here, that would have been embarrassing! Part numbers for anyone concerned are 1H0 615 194A/B I'm sure someone with a bit of something about them could make them fit fairly easily, if they wanted to! Sorry about that!
  13. I think vw still do the original ones for a good price. About £40 I think.
  14. I may have the Davia if you do remove it.
  15. Nice car! Good to have a detailer on here to provide the rest of us with some inspiration!
  16. Glad you kind of solved the problem. I would have been surprised if the oil was actually that hot! The 12v oil coolers have been known to fail but i've not yet heard of a 24v cooler failing.
  17. You after suggestions or a physical car? You should get a nice 520d for that. Glad you got everything sorted!
  18. I'm sure that's my old Grey VR6, if that photo is from the Cosford meet in 2009 maybe 2008 but not sure!
  19. If the cost of standalone wasn't so high, i'm sure I would be interested long term!
