I have a similar problem - sourced a new accumulator, casing and pump but need the pipe work. Surely there must be something or someone out there able to supply these pipes! Anyone know?

Hi As part of my winter project, I will be fitting an oil pressure gauge to my 1990 16v. I have bought a vdo dual pole sender and wondered if anyone can help me with the following. There are two switches in the engine bay one of which I assume is replaced by the vdo unit - but which one? Also there is a spare connector in the wirieing by the present oil switch which again I assume is for the use of a gauge but does anyone know where this then apperars in the dash area? TIA

Hi - Sorry I should have posted up the link as well. I will also detail my efforts with photos etc when I'm next working on the car. http://www.corrado-club.ca/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13724

The Renault one is a two tone number so not a harsh buzzer - I'm sure their are numerous choices, I just went for the Renault because it was three pin and in case it didn't work - cheap!

I saw an article on the Canadian Owners Club about fitting a lights on warning chime using a three pin relay/chime from a Citroen Xantia. I got a relay from ebay (Renault Magane/Laguna/Clio) for a few pounds and it was so simple to fit. Using the glove box light wires for ignition and earth and Cigarette lighter bulb for “lights/cancel” It now chimes if you switch off your ignition but leave your lights on! No cutting into headlamp looms or ignition wires – Simples!

I would like a pair also - thanks -
Thanks Andrew - I need a few other bits and pieces and I guess Maplin would be a good place to get everything. Cheers Ray

Hi I’ve Just taken my 16v off the road for the winter to carry out some much needed and also some desired changes. One of the tasks is to fit the new centre console area with the radio repositioned to ashtray area, Polo cup holders fitted in its place and auxiliary gauges fitted in the cubby hole (oil pressure and voltage). I think I have everything I need but wondered what type of wire I should be using to run the gauges, relocate the cigarette lighter (only as a power source) etc. TIA

Thanks - will have a look

I am going to be fitting a 10 bar oil pressure gauge to my 1990 16v and I'm sure I read some where that there well maybe wiring within the existing loom to facilitate the gauge - does anyone know if that is the case or is it just as eay to run a new wire to the sender?
-
I see - makes sense now that there must have been an additional bracket! Thanks for your help

Thanks will have a look - it is for a 1990 16v - my user name was from my days with a vr6!

Hi Just got my hands on an early centre dash a new polo cup holder unit and a OE Auxillary gauges mounting. The intention is to move the radio to ashtray/lighter area, install the cup holder in its place and install volt meter and oil pressure gauge in the cubby hole using the OE mounting. My question is - where does the mounting panal attach too in the cubby hole? - http://the-corrado.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=23153&d=1296920578 TIA

Hi I had exactly the same problem. I have now ditched them and fitted Bilstein B2 shocks and eibach lowering springs – excellent result. Corrado is handling the way I remember they should. Not too expensive. About £280 for the shocks and I was lucky enough to get the springs on here in almost new condition for £70 but I think it would be worth it to pay full price for new eibach springs.

Well I am on my fourth Corrado and was recently able to take advantage of chepa insurance from SAGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - (they also offer an excellent breakdown service that gives you up to £500 towards repairs - very handy when you own a 21 year old car!) I still love the Corrado and spend too much time (and money) doing bits and bobs.

Hi Again Following on from my post about my noisy rear(!) - I have ordered new Brembo rear discs and pads. I have read that you really need to replace the wheel bearings at the same time (although they were only changed TIA
-
Update - I changed the whels around today and when I came to do the off side rear and noticed the hub was "snagging" at the same point each time I spun it. I remember a thread on here talking about EBC discs warping so I took the pads out, pushed the caliber piston back in, refitted the pads and the hub spun free again. I took it out for a run and the noice/vibration was greatly reduced. So I am hoping the problem was down to the disc?

Hi Guys Defo not the fuel pump - I know what that sounds like from previous experience! I know this may sound a bit as though I am contradicting myself but could it possibly but emanating from the front and just “appearing" to be towards the rear (which why I asked if maybe the Milltek SS exhaust may be showing its age).

Got a day off on Wed so going to try swapping the wheels around. Tried out the handbrake test and it apeeraed to make no difference. What is involved with readjusting the bearings?
