Also if you have the 3rd temp sender on the thermo housing this can aslo be the cause. Try unplugging that to see if it stops the fans -

If you can stretch to £250 I have a set of good condition speedlines with Kuhmo KU31's which have covered very little mileage (1-2k). And I'm in bournemouth too.

From a VR6? If so I`m breaking one at the moment. Let me have a look tonight at how easily these hoses come off. If they are simple to remove i can have them in the post to you tomorrow.
