  1. raise an old thread from the dead. Bought a tyvek medium cover from halfords today for £39.99, they are a 1/3rd off at the moment, fits like a glove and the material seems great, soft of the inside and nice and light. The material is made by dupont http://www.tyvek.com/ . Well recommended if you are putting you C to sleep for the winter like me.
  2. LM's or the BBS Motorsport wheels (RH's??)
  3. Tractors....oh dont talk to me about tractors! There is a farmer that has decided to us the A31 between Ringwood and Cadnam in the mornings in rush hour. That bit of the A31 has to be 10 miles long, and he plods along while a 10mph traffic jam follows for miles. I could nock the blokes head off!
  4. I've had 3 C's, the first for a year back in 96, the second for 3 ish years from 99 to 02 ish and the current one for the last 1.5 years. Who's had the most?
  5. Had a message on my answer phone from guy at 1'ish, he sounded worst for wear! Be nice to get that sorted fella, who's doing it?
  6. At least you didn't miss out on the hang over! By god it got worse throughout the day on sunday!!! :-P Did guy get the vodka fever!
  7. or these tunnel vids... http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... tunnel+vid
  8. yep new beetle. Jay, sorry I didnt make it back out late night. Sarah was tired so decided not to make her drive me back into B! Hope the rest of the move goes well and catch up with you soon no doubt.
  9. Hope the move up north is going well fella. Are you removing the washer jets this time?? If so I can recommend the jets off a beetle as they will fit nicely under the rear edge of the bonnet (as they are mounted on the beetle). For an extra bit of smooth!
  10. Blackberry VR with big wide 9's on the M271 coming out of Southampton. Nice little race!
  11. looks like Dark Violet pearl, the same as my old G60 Jet..... is the interior a little strange, ie purple ribbed rubber on the doors and rear of the seats? If so its a special Edition called the Jet. Dark Violet Pearl is the best colour ever on a C.
  12. I bought some Stahlwillie tools about 13 years ago at one of the first GTI internationals. The Posi and phillips screwdrivers are still going strong now after much use and abuse, these always seem to be the tools that go if they are at all soft. Anyone know where you can get them now? The spanners are still like new and seem unbustable. Would recommend stahlwillie tools if you can find them. Also got a teng socket set that is knocking on 20 years old, have had to replace a few sockets due to them splitting but the rachet is as good as new. Also use a 3/8 drive halfords rachet set that is very good with no problems.
  13. Second 2 pics with the new wheels (8x17, 205-40-17) I prefer the arse to be a little in the air and a little higher all round than it was, current measurements are 590mm front (305mm centre's) and 610mm rear (320mm centre's). Rear tyres are nearly new and fronts are worn which gives the 5mm difference between front and rear. First two pics with the old wheels (7x17, 205-40-17)and very low. I did measure the heights and seem to remember 580mm ish all round.
  14. How about an Ibiza?? I have a 1.9 NA and is basically a MK2 Golf! Even has power steering. They will be cheaper than Golfs and a bit more refined as its the 1.9 diesel rather than the old 1.6.
  15. I was looking in your personal gallery for the no rice pics, but became very interested in the suzuki instead, forgot all about the no rice pics!
  16. Hi George, The old girl is doing good, Pete's put a couple of scrapes on the D90's, but those are the only scar's. We have also fitted a milltek exhaust to it and I have a short shift and some MT90 gear oil sat in my garage waiting for a spare few hours to fit. Pete's enjoying the aircon with the black leather! Just need to sort my aircon out now, maybe over the winter as I now have an old diesel for getting to and from work. The S2 sounds interesting. Cheers Andy
  17. nice write up, looking forward to history lesson
