Nice :D , you wouldn' t wanna get it wrong though eh! :(
-
I had exactly the same thing happen to me when i first bought my vr and it turned out to be one of the tyres, mind you couldn't see it was knackered by looking at it, was chuffed after though :D
-
My vr was convincingly quicker than a 328 that i raced once, i think he two up though if i remember and also remember him slapping on his brakes for a damp fast sweeping corner which made me almost run into the back of him! :)

I have a friend who works for morgan that bought an L reg wrx, 75,000 kms with the close ratio box?, (only did 120 flat out, import model), he melted one of pistons, then bought a new sti bottom end, put it all back together then the same thing happened again! well he' s had enough now and selling up and maybe getting a vr. His car did feel fast to me especially off the line but like most people have said once rolling your theres not alot in it. 8)

Cheers Rpmayne i may just gmax her up then! :D
-
"Only thing I have noticed is front seems noticably softer than the rear when going over speed bumps, which can result in bottoming out" Cheers for replys guys, Rpmayne how hard is your suspension compared to original and how much roll do you when cornering hard?, thanks matt :D
-
Hi guys, just wondered if anyone has this suspension on there corrado vr6 and is it any good?, asking cause it seems quite cheap or would i be better off spending a little more on konis or fk' s, cheers :D
-
Fast as **** is that a vr engine in the there? :D
-
sorry but i' d have to take some more, all depends what its bein used for i suppose :D

"How quick do you reckon it'll feel compared to the RS? I like the turbo but hate fact that when it's off boost the car is ridiculously slow, so I'm quite up for the idea of a torquey 6 cylinder, especially on the motorway". I dont think you' ll be too disapointed, but turbo cars always feel quicker to me, my vr6 is a k plate, standard and has done 140,000 miles and i could of inched past a focus rs in a bit of a tussle a while back, you just gotta make sure you' ve got her sitting on 4000rpm when you nail it, and forget about goin easy on a 12 year old car, i cant sell mine i love it too much! :D
-
Good choice mate and welcome!, My vr6 has done 140,000 miles and is quieter than my mates thats done 72,000 miles, hows that! :D
-
The guy who started the gumball rally, max cooper used to live in my village and i know him quite well, i'll ask him if we can join up, might need to supercharge the old vr though! :D
-
He definatly wasn' t quicker than my vr6 :)

Had a bit of a play with one of these the other day on way down to south london, we both come out of a roundabou onto a dual carriageway, me behind him and he goes for it, so do i and there was nothing in it up to top of 3rd gear im starting to reel him in and forth definatly gaining, reckon i could of inched passed had the road been longer, i was two up and full tank he was on his own, i thought the old corrado did quite well! :D

Door handle repair kit..........THEY ARE NOW AVAILABLE

I have just fitted these door handle repair kits to both sides of my corrado and all i can say is wow now i can actually open my doors, no seriously these repair kits are spot on and pretty easy to fit even on your own with no assistance, and ive just saved myself around sixty quid which is a bonus, so anyone with broken door handles would be mad not to purchase this excellent solution to an annoying problem. cheers well happy matt :D -
I've had quite a few Golfs / Jettas and sciroccos over the years and there is something about the way they handle that gives me a lot of confidence to play with them on the road, especially in the wet. Sliding the RX-7 in the dry is a lot of fun, but it's down right dangerous in the wet. Thats exactly why ive kept my corrado vr6 for over 3 years, it gives me confidence when on the limit and just feels right even in the wet where i can get her to slide around a little bit, also ive owned a few different cars and i dont think the engine weight on the vr really comes into it. :)

I' ve had an indicated 158 out of mine on a sneaky private road and it was still pulling but it did feel like it was gonna take off though, steering goin light and all

In the last few months my car has developed a juddering, shuddering type of noise from the back end of the car, im thinking maybe dampers have worn or collapsed bush of some sort. Has anyone else had the same problems?, the cars a 92 vr6, cheers.
-
I have exactly the same problem, car starts fine then after about 10 secs it starts to misfire slighty and lasts for about 5 mins then its perfectly fine again. I have been told to check the cold temp sensor but would this cause misfiring?
-
Cheers for the replys guys, i dont really wanna shell out too much for my next car and the fiat coupe is just too tempting for what you get for the money, leather, speed etc, but i still think id miss the corrado though, on the right road at the right time its the one of the best car ive driven yet, indecisions eh?
-
cheers for the link, got that one though.
-
sorry bout the six posts was told there was a broken server every time i submitted, obviously not!

Hi guys, Have owned my corrado vr6 for over 3 years now but over the last six months have been toying with idea of getting a fiat coupe. Now i really like my car, its character, speed, relaxing to drive but can anyone talk me out of going for a coupe, will it ultimatly handle as nice on the limit and feel as planted as the vr?, and there not that much quicker are they?, prob should be askin fiat guys but need some persuading to keep hold of her. cheers matt. :?
