  1. A while ago someone on here posted a video of a VR6 doing some runs up and down what looked like an industrial estate road, there's seagulls squarking in the background and the VR6 noise is immense. He drives down to a round about a few times and when he stops the camera zooms onto the 'VR6' badge on the rear. I thought it was called 'VR6 Buzz' but I can't find it? Does anyone know what I'm talking about?!
  2. This car is so similar to mine! Mine doesn't have aircon, bodykit or headlight washers but everything else is identical (yours looks in nicer condition than mine, I need to put some work into mine as its been sat in the garage most of the winter! Even what you've shown of the number plate is almost identical to mine! My number plate starts M232! They must have come off the line very close to one another?!
  3. My VR6 needs a bit of work doing so I've been looking for specialists in the area, Google threw this one up http://www.tuttsofdorking.co.uk/ Their website looks pretty good and they offer a good range of services including tuning etc. Has anyone here used them before? Or is there a reputable specialist in the Croydon/Caterham area? Cheers.
  4. Amazing skills there, I wish I has the time/tools/knowledge to do stuff like this!
  5. http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/clarke-cir450-24v-high-torque-cordless-impact/path/impact-wrenches-and-drivers This looks like a good one. I think I need one of these as the last person to do my locking wheel nuts (Mcgard) up did them too bloody tight and I've alreay sheered one key from trying to undo it with a normal 'L' shaped wrench. I need something that properly twists and doesn't just push in one direction if you know what I mean.
  6. I've had a set of these sat in my shed for probably a year now and I intend on getting them refurbed and on my Corrado. They look a bit like Ferrari 355 wheels. http://www.car21fukui.jp/?p=4045 I found them locally on Ebay after doing a boredom search from 'bbs' and they were a bargain. I think they will suit my car really well once on 40 or 45 profile tyres as they are like the original speedlines but being 16" they'll fill the arches better, plus they say BBS and Pininfarina on them :D Has anyone ever seen them before? There's noe much info on the web but a bit of research shows that they could have been originally for US Mk3 golf GTi's? but apparently the VW versions didn't have the Pininfarina scripting and were only available in 15". hmm. I would love to find out a bit more about them or if anyone recognises them!
  7. Watching this with interest. My driver's side handle had gona and I bought a repair kit months ago, I'll get around to fixing it soon!
  8. That looks so good, how did you get that matt finish? I've got the same seats in black leather but mine are shiney, I MUCH prefer the matt look of yours, would love to know how you got them to look like that!
  9. Nice to see the old VR6 getting some genuine love on the UKs biggest motoring website, albeit a £1000 'shed' http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topi ... &mid=99032 All we need now is (another) topgear feature and we might see our iconic machines appreciate in value!!
  10. From you picture I'd say keep the VR, it looks so damn sexy! As well as too many speedlines I have a set of 16" very rare 5 spoke BBS pininfarinas. Your picture has inspired me to pull my finger out and get them on my car, it will look so good! (my car is red btw!)
  11. The Corrado pictured is so tidy! It really makes me want to keep mine!
  12. Did you disconnect the battery before not driving it for 3 weeks? When you reconnect the battery the ECU takes a while to settle down which can cause the idle speed to differ. Mayo can come from short journeys and sometimes it will look like a load of smoke is coming from the exhaust but it's just the cold winter air causing it. As said take it out for a good run and watch the temperatures. If the gasket is starting to go the car will try to overheat. If you turn the car off before it overheats you won't warp the head, which is an extra expense.
  13. It's an awesome looking car, and everyone know that red is the best colour for a 'rado 8) I can't get along with the Ferrari badges though, it just seems completely wrong in my mind!
  14. I'm blown away by this build, it's something I'd love to do to my Corrado oneday, when I've got my own double garage. Watching with keen interest!
  15. Nice work Alex, just to remind you that I went for 6 rollers instead of the 4 I'm marked down for. Hope this isn't a prob.
  16. Hello Alex, I am one of those that forgot to put my forum name etc :epicfail: My paypal name is John Carter and I sent £16.50 to you on the 18th Oct. I've sent you my home address, if you havent got it please let me know :D
  17. This is such a nice car, an E36 in that sort of condition is so rare to see these days! It looks so classy, something I thought I'd never say of the E36 given it's current rep but that is a car to be proud of. Well done mate
  18. Souns like there's a few of you living around my neck of the woods, I'm in Purley.
  19. Did they try to steal your speedlines?
