    When I bought Jay's car it had a Sony CDX-5060 fitted, which appears to be of the era but I couldn't get the CD player to work - It might be repairable, not really sure? You are welcome to it if you can just cover the postage? Ian.

    As has been mentioned many times on here, the easiest and probably cheapest option is to get a complete mechanism from a Mk3 Golf and then just swap the glass panel for your metal one. Ian.

    I put another (S/H) coilpack on it Ian just a few months before I sold it, like Jim I'd say HT Leads first - Dubpower ones are good value and rated highly? Ian.
