Cheers buddy, had a look but the 7 slatters on there seem to be quite expensive for something i'm going to butcher.
-
I need an old style grill as cheap as possible. Don't really care about the overall condition, clips, etc as i'm going to butcher it and cut out a section the width of the badge to make an old style badgeless grill with one i already have. Thanks,
-
Hi, Do you have an early style grill? If so, how much posted to London? Thanks, Kunaal
-
Do you still have the under car fuel pump, accumulator and housing? If so any pics? And how much posted? Thanks.

After 3 years away im finally back home and ready to get the valver back on the road. Woo hoo! Unfortunately whilst i was away the crappy fk konigsports have leaked and siezed and the car is sitting on its knees. I need some good reliable coilovers but im not sure i can afford to fork out the grand required for konis. Anyone got anything decent they want to sell? Ta.

If new leads doesn't sort it I have a spare ecu somewhere I can sell you cheapish, again it's at my folks though. They have a garage and I don't. :( ---------- Post added at 06:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:45 PM ---------- @dannyboy, 16v injectors are a whole different game to g60 ones. They are always open and are prone to leaking. Old k-jet injectors are the source of many a problem and after 100k are well beyond their best and will not be spraying properly at all. They also do not respond well to ultrasonic cleaning.
-
If its still running 9a injection it could be the injectors. As they reach the end of their life they tend to get stuck open, dripping fuel into the cylinder overnight which would explain the startup backfiring and massive hesitation when pulling off at roundabouts etc. All my Rado stuff is back at my folks and im not on the forum much these days (the C is in storatge until i can afford to insure her again, my premium went up by £1000 this month and my situation hasn't changed at all! The insurance company said it was because of the insurance premium rises and my area is now 'high risk') but if i head that way i have a few spare (old) injectors that are working i can send you for a tenner. No idea when im heading that way though. sorry buddy.

I've got a warlock bass, no widow headstock though :(

They're pretty good. I ordered some genuine touch up pens a while ago and they're cheaper than vag (obviously).

Why couldn't you share your recipe before i wire brushed the hell out of my calipers, hangers and fingers!!!

As far as i'm aware the FPR on the side of the metering head is just to maintain fuel pressure for a while after shut down. (someone correct me if im wrong) So it won't really affect any fuelling you may have. It should really only affect warm re-starts. Im currently trying to solve an under fuelling problem myself. Trying to source a new under car pump and accumulator (cost about £100 each!) and ruled out the FPR due to my thinking above.

Is there a 'way' to drive a diesels? It would make sense, and i clearly don't it! I recently hired a nasty french diesel van to move the mrs's belongings down from norwich and it cost as much as, if not more than the petrol C, which gives me 36mpg at around 80mph. What did i do wrong? The damn thing barely made it to 80 so its not as if i was ragging it!

I bought my C for £900 originally. Tax'd, MOT'd and 1/4 tank of petrol! It was immediately after the recession hit so i guess someone needed rid as it was and is certainly not a shed! Same story with my 1st Mk2, no recession but it cost £400 and i sold it for £460 after 2 1/2 yrs driving it. My actual shed had to be the dreaded pug 106 (old shape) cost me £700, sold it for £650 a year later. It didnt go well, didnt stop well, ugly as sin, but it got me to college and back for a year. Hardly a chick magnet but as i was the only one of my mates driving back then the old wreck did me proud! :)

Its defo a temp sensor. I'll have a look round as i might have a spare you can have for postage cost. They're only a few £'s new though anyway.

Sounds like it needs to be re-calibrated to the fob. It probably won't work with the key anyway as the wiring would have been re-directed to the alarm ecu rather than the microswitch in the door handle. ---------- Post added at 03:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:35 PM ---------- My alarm has some kind of magic i need to do turning the key and waiting for the light to flash a number of times to get it into calibration mode for a new fob. I'm sure yours will be something similar.

Does it run any better if you pull the electrical plug on the right hand side of the metering head out?
-
As above, get insurance. You won't regret it.

I've had 2 labs before and both ate like horses! Try not to over feed them as they will get fat, lazy and cost a lot in vets bills when they get older! I've fed them the same food that i've fed every other dog so im not sure you need to worry about a special diet. Labs do need a fair amount of exercise as they are quite lively (when not too fat!).
-
Nope, they did them for me, and they didn't charge. I think they charge £10 now to remove the arch liners and re-fit. silly really.
-
I've done that on a mates before, turned out ok but i'd recommend these guys http://www.archenemy.co.uk They did a good job on all 4 corners of the C. Didn't crack any of the original paint even though some of it was a touch rusty!
