absolutely bang on. How do you find it with regards to putting down that amount of power?
-
thanks for the pictures, which bulbs had you fitted?
-
that's good to know and kind of what I was getting at. I'm going to have a measure up and see if there is enough depth in the light unit to fit the bulbs and if so, i'll invest in some even if just out of curiousity
-
just a general question as LED lights are becoming more and more common, even standard fitment on some new vehicles. Being the same shape and fitment as the standard bulbs, I don't see why the light pattern would change much. I have an uprated loom but was thinking that it would be neater without it in place and then to bring the light output up again, Led bulbs would be good as they require a far lower wattage

Has anyone fitted led direct replacement headlight bulbs without an uprated headlight loom? I have an uprated loom already but would like to remove it and just run LED bulbs to clear the wiring etc

Hi, is the rust limited to the front wings? thanks -
I'd start by replacing the slave cylinder. I had a similar thing years back on mine, that the slave was leaking slightly and engaging the clutch.

I'm keen to get the car back on the road so will probably leave the rears for now and see how it performs once it's all up and running. I have got to drop the whole rear beam off and change the bushes and brake lines. Are you running the exact same brakes? At a glance, I was looking to fit a 5mm spacer

Thanks for the advice. I'll get some on order

I've done a search and haven't cleared much up. I've fitted Porsche Boxster S Brembos to my 2.0 16v Corrado and need brake lines to suit. These are for sale but listed for G60 http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=252096753437&globalID=EBAY-GB Are the line lengths and positions on the car any different between G60 and 2.0 16v? I did have G60 brakes fitted previously with 16v lines with no issues Thanks

I dragged the car out for the first time in a while today. Have got the brakes fitted up They look fripping awesome and should stop it ok Had to take them back off after the trial fit because the wheels are touching the caliper! Bit of a bummer as I was hoping not to have to use spacers Also swapped over my slimline fan and bracket setup from the old rad to the new one

all sorted now, thanks for the offers

Removed from my Audi TT and in good working order, ideal upgrade for 5x100 Corrado Pads and discs with not many miles on them http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/-/122031382854?

I'm looking for a rad support panel (the part at the bottom of the rad, over the cross member that normally rusts out) for a 16v. I'm not sure if these are the same for G60 and early or late valvers but mine is a 2.0 16v Please let me know what you have Thanks Oli

BREMBO retrofit on the Corrado, anyone done this? What ones fit?

How about the 312mm oem disc with AP 4 pots from the later seat Leon cupra? A bit harder to find but would fit well -
Things are slowly coming together and I'm getting lined up to have a full respray on the car including the engine bay. Sometimes I wish I hadn't chosen the engine I went with and just did a straight 20v swap without going for a full build but now have all the parts I need to finish it. One of the hardest parts to get hold of was the oil filter housing from a 1.9 tdi to change this: To this: This gives me the angle I need and provides an oil feed for the turbo Hopefully more soon

Great write up and a good choice of motors

I fried an ecu when my wiring to the lambda sensor was damaged and shorting out. May not be your cause but could be worth a look under the car
-
This looks epic. Have you got any more details and pictures?
-
Got it. Thanks for your reply and offer. I'm going to have to put the brakes on this for the immediate future as just had my offer accepted on a house so have gone from being fairly comfortable to completely skint. Cheers

Just to bring my thread back, I've not forgotten about this car but life took over and I have also delved into Audi ownership, so spent a bit of cash there on a mk1 TT. Parts are now being ordered and I'm excited to pull the corrado out of the shed and up to the workshop. I shamefully have no more pictures or updates but will do soon. Thanks

Open to ideas but full body and able to move it on wheels. Interior would be a plus
