gutted i missed this. let me know if for whatever reason the sale falls through

i'm not sure about the original et but think it will be 35 also. these can be done in 5 stud but i'll need to get back to them and probably start another group buy because it is a special order and could possibly have to be a different order being 5 stud

I've been in touch directly with the UK importers for Speedline wheels about buying a set of the 2110 Challenge alloys which are a very close match to the original vr6 speedline wheels to fit my 16v, so 4x100 fitment. The size for the wheels are 16x7 inch, et35 and will have to confirm the weight but from memory are 8ish kg. The reason for the group buy being that these wheels are no longer made but the casts do exist in Italy and can be made to order with the minimum number to get the correct fitment, offset and centre bore being 24 wheels (6 sets). The price for 4 wheels is £552 inc. VAT which is a saving of £108 off retail (if you can find a set anywhere!) These are quite a rare wheel and this is a great opportunity to own a set example pictures taken from vortex: 15" next to 16" I'll start by working on a list of 6 sets but can expand if there is more demand. Get your name down now, i'm keen to get things moving: 1.odub 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.

I haven't updated this for a long time now. I've had my corrado nearly four years and it's still not anywhere near the standard i want it at but is no longer my daily after buying a fiat doblo cargo. So the car is in the workshop for a lot of work. This will be verging on a full respray and may well turn into that. Smooth out the hole for the wiper in the tailgate, plate the hole for the rear vw badge, dob weld into the corrado badge holes, remove rear tow eye and smooth out the rear bumper to suit, front wishbones off and painted, rebush entire front end, new front wheel bearings, possibly smooth out number plate recess in bumper, change all light units for ones in better condition (have these), refurb D90 alloys in white, fit braided brake lines all over, replace rear hard brake lines, fit rear strut brace. I've also got an original Italvolanti steering wheel to go on and am in two minds on what to do with the interior, leather or semi-stripped. I'm in no hurry to get the car back so there may be more added including a 20v turbo if my funds stretch that far. I'll get pictures up as work progresses. It's amazing how much you can get done when the car isn't needed for daily use

Does anyone know if a mk4 ford escort has the same spline size as on a corrado, so is it possible to swap steering wheels?

are the hanging points not different?
-
could be different due to age of car and change over year. is it from a 2.0 or a 1.8?

i've had no end of problems with my 2.0 16v most of which was caused by the lamda sensor in the exhaust and then confused by replacing with a cheapish one (£30 odd). Moral of the story is use decent parts either VW or bosch. a fair bit more expensive but cheaper in the long run. I'd also run the car in to a descent garage to get the codes read. my local vw did this for no charge. good luck

this was looking like a great build, any more updates?
