red is strong and blue is medium. personally i'd use red on studs and thing you don't want coming undone in a hurry. use blue on bits that come off more often. i've never put sealant on a rocker cover gasket, a new one should seal up fine by itself. hope that helps

Just fitted a stainless jetex system to my 2.0 16v. Great fit, no louder than standard until you give it some and good subtle tail pipe design. Got a good price from Tuningwerkes as well

Wheels look good. Should suit the car well. What are they?

That looks just like the wiring I found in mine. Stuck an alpine in too, good choice

Just to hijack the thread a bit, as mentioned at the top is it ok to decat a 92 j plate 2.0 16v and make it through an mot? I thought it was 92 the emmissions got more stringent. Thanks

I'm after a description and pictures if possible of the firing point sensor on a 2.0 16v as I'm missing one from my engine and have no idea what I'm looking for but I do know it clips on to one of the ht leads to sense the pulse. Also have spoken to a Vw scrappy trying to find one. He says he has but can't see any way of removing it from the ht lead. Is it possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Received mine today and fitted it this evening. Driving back home in the dark and heavy rain the results were great, very close to life changing. Brilliant kit, thanks :salute:

Fitted today. Great fix and highly reccommended -
Right, spoken to Vw this morning and apparently the part I've unplugged is the thermo cut out switch part number 043906163A. Could anyone tell me if this would possibly be the prob and what the purpose of it is. I haven't had a chance to get the car diagnosed yet. Thanks again

I've been poking about and found that unplugging the brown ecu temp sensor on the side of the head makes it run fine. Not sure of the implications of running without it though. Hopefully will pick up a new one Monday

just getting annoyed about my engine not running properly, went to open the door and the handle broke. i wish it would space out when it's going to break, not all at once. could i have a drivers side kit please? -
i've had my corrado for about a month now and am just starting to have big problems with it. when i first bought the car it was a little hestiant whilst driving both under acceleration and constant revs. this went away for a while and everything was good. just in the last few days this has come back but a lot worst. fuel economy is way down because the car is overfuelling to compensate and there is a massive loss of power. i have changed HT leads, spark plugs, dizzy cap and air filter. i've poked around the engine and everything seems to be plugged in and no visible faults. please help me. thanks

Just tonight have replaced plugs, distributor cap, arm and air filter. When taking out the old panel filter it was soaking wet with water. Is this a common problem and if so is there a cure or a part that I might be missing? The car is a 2.0 16v with a standard airbox. Thanks
