  1. ECP list both v5 and vr6 at 1.8KW, 1.9 TDi (AHU 02A gearbox and G60 type flywheel so should fit VR6s?) at 1.9KW
  2. I think Glosterox has one fitted to his car, I'm kicking myself as I've thrown 2 away........
  3. Spark, Fuel, Compression, Timing and an engine should run You say the leads etc are correct but don't say if you've seen a spark at the plugs? The other end of the jump lead is earthed on the engine block You say there's fuel at the injectors, but don't say if they are injecting fuel into the cylinder (remove the plugs after cranking and check to see if they're wet with petrol) Compression test Use a strobe light on the crank pulley mark to confirm number one cylinder is firing when it should
  4. If you have decent jump leads, use one from the neg terminal on the battery to the engine block (replicating the engine earth).
  5. Check the battery terminals and the connection on the starter and the main engine earth, the battery may measure as good but you have a supply problem, engine earth loose, corroded, damaged would be my guess
  6. I wouldn't worry about that tiny difference tbh. Both sensors alarm for LOW pressure, the lowest is for LOW pressure below 2000 RPM, the higher is LOW pressure above 2000 RPM.
  7. Poor hot starting is a typical Coolant Temp Sensor fault. Is your aux coolant pump working?
  8. I've just bought this one, will post a pic when it arrives http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141843935226?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

  10. Can you post a pic of the valve please?
  11. Can I suggest you give the option of a spare relay for diagnostic purposes in the future? ECP have Phillips 30% brighter H4s at half price at the moment (I had to get H3s off ebay as ECP only stock Osram H3s). http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Volkswagen_Corrado_2.9_1994/p/car-accessories/winter-essentials/winter-maintenance/upgrade-headlamp-bulb/?48177019P&0&cc5_847%5Ecc5_1051%5E http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252155290155?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  12. In the fourth pic? Silver 6 spokes
  13. The next time you have the wheel off and want to undo the hub nut just put an old screwdriver or similar in the disk vent against the caliper. I have a Sealey 24V gun, but still have to crack tight stuff off with a long bar
  14. My NSF CV was stuck solid in the hub, I had to use a press to get it out (3 legged puller failed miserably), I'd recommend spraying penetration fluid prior to removal to allow it to soak in if necessary.
  15. I've got a Rayne loom to fit this week, what's been the issue with yours?

    ABS light unit

You need to match the part number, some have one plug, others 2 plugs. The last 2 letters on the part number give the type you need
  17. I thought standard was 22mm?
  18. I'm looking forward to a brief review of your Flight Technician training books with great anticipation MK2 (light weight and agile), MK3, MK4 Golf (fat and bloated) all used 38mm rear pistons and 54mm front pistons on there calipers from 1988 - 2004 (and maybe beyond?). Lucas / Girling / Teves / VW know a little about brakes I think? As 80% of the braking is done by the front wheels adding a larger rear piston to the standard pad disk combination will add very little improvement IMO, if you wanted more rear braking force you could simply adjust the rear axle load sensing valve to give more rear bias - not recommended for road use.
  19. The bigger the bucket the more water is needed to fill it to raise the level by the same amount
  20. The pads and disks do the stopping, if they stay the same and the piston is enlarged from 38mm to 41mm the improvement in braking will be negligible IMO The larger piston will need more fluid to move the same distance and will need more pedal travel because of this, something the Corrado could do without, so 38mm calipers for me
  21. £75 for the Revel prebuilt and the Otto prebuilt posted? I'll declare myself out for the model kit and roof rack at this point onwards
