Hi, I was viewing on my phone before, how much inside the arch do you need? Which side of the seam inside the door shut? I courier via My Hermes so £20 plus post by weight. https://www.myhermes.co.uk/ I'll do the cuts next weekend in daylight, the courier will take 7 - 10 days or so.
-
Not sure if you and stuart taylor can shre this panel, stu?
-
I have a complete shell with rot around the screen, rear quarters are very good, rear apron very good (debadged rear but has seams intact), sills very good, inner wings very good Small cuts £10, whole quarters £50. If you want a specific piece mark it on your car with masking tape and post a pic for a price, large pieces will have to be collection only

And the fix was?
-
Looks like some debris has fallen inside that cylinder on a plug change maybe, if the bore's not scored and if it was mine I'd not worry about it. It looks like its old damage to me
-
Looks fine to me Result of a blown turbo, head heavily skimmed and piston tidied up and running again
-
Rust free front wings?
-
Bristol or Cannock?
-
Take pics of the before damage and the build up too, if you ever come to sell the car you can show exactly what damage resulted in the cat C marker on the V5 because to most people cat C = write off = "must have been on its roof" assumption when its actually an uneconomical repair if using new OE parts and paint to original spec EDIT You don't need the car painted and finished for the VIC, just road legal - in a condition to pass the mot on that day, dented / or wrong colour panels are OK, but lights etc must be good working order
-
You can wait weeks for a VIC appointment depending on your location and slots available, save all receipts for items you buy to repair it too. You'll most likely need to re MOT the car afterwards too as the cat C marked invalidates the original MOT more often than not.

The car would need to be insured to get it taxed, no MOT would put me off buying it TBH. With winter around the corner not to mention the expense of xmas I'd be tempted to mothball it until easter if it were mine...... But you only need one buyer :)

It needs scanning for codes

Yep, met him and was impressed how careful his staff were with his car an wheels. Shame it wasn't last week I could have bought them down for you

I'm sure I've read here that part of the bonnets inside skin has to be cut on the corrado as it catches on the VSR (not needed on the Golf / Vento / Passat VR6s). The Corrado has a redesigned bonnet with more clearance for the VR6

Phone around a few tyre places, they come across this all the time. The RAC vans carry locking bolt removal kits too
-
Nice to meet you mate, thanks for the coffee, lift with the engine and the chat. All the best :)
-
Yes, I see it now, thanks

Dark and wet outside, so not the best phone pic............ Shimming the bottom hinge will move the door in the wrong direction. Are the 13mm bolts tight? No worn pins on my breaker
