The pump should run when the key is first turned anyway? Turn the key to put the dash lights on (pump primes then stops), a second turn to engage the starter (pump runs continuously). Long cranking has been associated with a faulty cam sensor or its wiring?

Got one near Crewe, I used it for an electrolysis experiment last year

Again: Fuel system electric issues. New relay but fail again.

A short in the pump would blow the fuse, the ecu switches the low current side of the relay, so a pump short can't affect the ecu. Its more likely the capacitors in the ecu are old and blown? The ecu can also be damaged by not have a good engine to battery earth connection, starter current tries to earth via ecu sensor connections - usually its the injectors that remain fully open when this hs happened. -
Dieselgeek are the obvious ones, but don’t currently ship to the uk (do you know someone in the USA who could redirect?).

How embarrassing (mum bailing you out, but respect to her). Im sure that was before my time, in Higgins defence he did honour all sales, he even went the extra mile to contact all after the ban as I think his PM status was removed, he's still a ,member hereas far as I'm aware

"Fuel bomb"? Fuel pump? The pump will run; 1, When ignition first turned on 2, When cranking engine over 3, When the engine is running All the above assume the ECU is powered up? Tacho reads RPMs on the dash when cranking? -
Still available, I thought someone would have snapped this up? The seller has a pair of Scroth harnesses too...... Marketplace – Schroth harneses x 2 | Facebook

The window motors only have 2 connections, you simply reverse polarity for up / down. I made up test leads years ago with crock clips from an old battery charger, wires with an in-line fuse and female spade connectors on the other end. I use them to test motors, fans, bulbs etc Id use the above to test the motor, then check the plug and switch connections for corrosion / breakage etc Id check the wiring between the shell and the door inside the trunking as I’ve have it break there in several VAG cars I’ve owned - some sheared completely, others broken inside the insulation, so looks ok, but if you pull on the wire the insulation stretches. It may be worth mentioning your location as someone local may be able to loan you a switch to try?

Higgins is banned from trading here, the only one in the 13 years I've been here. He pushed his luck and took the piss until Andy banned him from the classifieds for not paying the breaker section fee and putting wanted ads quoting "no inflated prices" when his certainly were!
-
Who can't find parts? What parts are needed? Who can't find fuzzer, Higgins, ebay or fb? Or the wanted section here? Ive been a member off CCGB and for your subs you got one mag per year (most of that was regurgitated from here back then) and not a lot else. You wont increase footfall when the number of cars a dwindling year upon year?
-
My answer was to MJA really (allowing breakers). I’ve just looked at the wanted section, 6 ads over the last 12 months (2 of those are yours Keyo). My point is people don’t come here for parts, my first reply was to allow former owners to sell a few bits without paying a fee? People won’t pay to subsidise sellers / breakers or view adverts for exorbitantly priced parts. If you want NOS or rare parts why not ask Toby for a banner ad giving you first dibs? I was here when the classifieds was a much busier place and the rules in place were ignored daily, complaints and bitching was a weekly occurrence. Mods got pissed off with dealing with it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So Toby makes a loss hosting the forum, members support the forum by donation to offer advice and chat shit so that sellers fill their pockets with enthusiasts cash?
-
There’s nothing to stop someone with 10 email addresses from joining 10 times?
-
If one or two items mods could use discretion (list on their behalf)? Regular sellers should pay, myself and others shouldn't subsidise the "Get rich quick brigade". Just my 2p Ultimately its up toToby

I've never realy worked on CIS, but I understand the plate moves with airflow (the more air the more lift on the plate the more fuel supplied?) so cranking will supply little air to lift the plate?

There's 2 on ebay, £400 and £130

You would need to give your ecu part number and get the correct match?
-
Anything that allows unmetered air into the engine will cause stalling and rough running - air is bypassing the MAF creating a lean mixture

Do the abs sensors pass through the axle into the stub? if so there will be a clearance hole in the axle?

I have a 1990 G60 rear beam, bare. Non ABS if it matters?
