LOL my girlfriend did say to me "well its not the end of the world is it, you won't look back on this and regret not fitting them will you?" To which I did say "Yes I BLOODY WOULD! Only taken me 8 years to find and refurbish the parts!" So yes you are probably both right. Just under a bit of pressure to be 'sensible' :bonk: -

Car is booked in to Stealth for the 26th June for the VSR and 263 cams to be fitted. Im really struggling to get excited about it however. Just keep thinking I should be sensible and use the money to pay off my Barclaycard! :( . £2000 to get 30bhp and 30lbft torque doesnt seem like much of a bargain LOL. Even if I reckon that is all I want from the old girl. Must be having a mid life crisis and not in a good way! P.S Also getting fed up of polishing my wheels! -
I cant help, Im useless  But..... hurry up and get it fitted along with those cams so I can see what power it produces  :norty:
-
Would this actally offer more than a couple of BHP on a NA engine :confused4: I guess cams are a must. Anyone got any power figures for similar motors?
-
Me neither but if someone came along, opened their fly and flopped their dick in my pint, I would be forced to say something! That is downright dangerous. Just as well you know what you are doing mate, dread to think what would happen if that was done to some mums school bus...

Old for me everytime! Character over smoothness 8)

I use this. Have to say not had any problems with the rack slipping, is incredibly sturdy. Run two Thule 591 carriers on top. Matt

Not if he has any No claims bonus, I'm 20 soon to be 21 with 3 years no claims and the insurance on my Vr is pretty acceptable considering the car, still not saying its cheap lol but its not soo bad that it makes you want to kill youself I've been driveing for 2 years and I've got 1 years no claims ( was on my parents policy first year) so shouldnt be too bad I was 25 when I got my VR, 2 years no claims. £1250

Yeah good point well made, I missed the age part LOL Costs the guy I work with £1500 to insure his 18 year old daughter on his 1.4 Fabia! :cuckoo:
-
Well if you are going to go to all that trouble just buy a VR  I bet if you have a light left foot the mpg wont be too different from the valver. I get 33mpg average on a long run in my mine. Good luck with your hunt though. Great position to be in Matt
