Leonard's Corrado VR6 - 515bhp 5.9L's twin scroll turbo ;)

Right just a quick update. Car has been sprayed and is looking good, with badges colour coded. Just needs a proper hard polish now, which it is having done next Tuesday. Think I may leave the bump strips off as well. Oz Futura's polished up (as best i could) and put on with some nice new Toyo Proxe rubber. Rear lights tinted red as of the wiki (great guide) and looking good Spoiler fixed, by replacing and lubing the whole mech. New stereo fitted. Sunroof seal replaced and roof strips replaced. TBH that will do me for now! Pics to follow next week. Just need to decide wether to bother with the LSD now or just get my clutch done only and fit the cams and VSR. Hmmmm -

What the hell spec engine do you have for that moola? -
I have only seen 36mpg once lol and I was making a concerted effort at the time :D
-
Bit of not quite boiling water wont hurt either
-
LOL Yeah I own this town  VR isnt to thirsty if you can bare not to floor it everywhere :D 36mpg can be had....... Just do what I do and only do 4k miles a year :)

Buts that's the beauty of the 12v! I find it a real shame everyone is turning their back on it, it is one of motorings greats! :( After saying all that your car is looking very nice :D Keep up the good work, you are going to be loving it when its finished! -
No sorry should have some pics next week. Got the tape off ebay for a couple of quid. Handy for other stuff as well!
-
Just a quick note that I think the lights look better with the reverse lights left clear. Makes them look more like modern stock lights rather than custom.
-
They are smaller because you downsized two sizes rather than one. Ideally you should have run 205/45/16 Look good though
-
Sounds like what I imagine a UFO would sound like LOL
-
Mine is spot on! Loud under full bore quiet when cruising, cant ask for any more than that. I think you may gain a couple of horses and lose a couple of torques. But it certainly does sound faster! :D LOL
-
Yep defo still flash orange with the standard bulbs :)
-
I did mine and decided to leave some strips on the indicators as of the below pic. I then gave the lights about 7 coats, then took the strips off and gave them another 2-3. I had uprated bulbs to go in but tbh doing it this way you dont need them and they still look all red.
-
Making it handle on our sh!tty roads thats what  Mine is slower with uprated suspension than it was with shagged std suspension LOL Nice looking car m8. If you want to uprate the discs I would try std discs and some hard compound pads first (such as EBC red stuff) and uprated goodridge hoses as well if you are bleeding it.
-
I should think you will be fine after all you are still braking from normal Corrado type speeds. You just get there quicker is all :D I would only get a proper kit if you were thinking about regular track time.
-
Hmmmm I dont know what to do then as tbh I just like listening to VR/BMC roar anyway :D If I went for the Audioscape pods would I still need to do any soundproofing on the doors or are the enclosures fully rigid/encased? If I stuck to 13cm speakers would something with bigger magnets be better or is it all much of a muchness on 13cm mids?
-
I cant see the pics, but the water pump is renowned for leaking I would check there first.
-
Why not? LOL I figured upgrading from the std Sony tape head unit to something a little more modern and sticking something like this in http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/produc ... /4581.html would give pretty good results, no? :D
-
Take the car to someone that knows his stuff like Vince at Stealth
-
Firstly the crossovers. Now I understand they split the signal between the bass/mid and the tweaters. But why do you need these in the Corrado as you have separate wiring for tweaters and the door speakers? Secondly what are the deapest speakers you can fit in the doors of a late spec car? Thirdly thank you very much :D Oh and recommendations for sub 100 squid speakers are encouraged. Matt
