  1. Got mine from Dubmeister Bit unhappy that my shorter plate is not done to well though and off centre
  2. I imagine black ones would look rather lovely with the grey. And practical for winter wheels! :D
  3. You would know about the door connector I'm sure, you cannot remove the door handle without unclipping the connector at the bottom of the inside of the door. That would certainly stop it working though!
  4. Of course :D It really is a buyers market at mo tho unfortunately. I mean who wants to be buying a small 3.0L car nowadays LOL £5k is about right for that motor
  5. If ur not too bothered about a mint car then you would prob be better off buying one of the many nice 3k cars that are around. Not going to lose much money on those I wouldnt have thought, especially if ur not doing many miles. Or make an offer on this, been for sale for a long time ;) : http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/620697.htm
  6. Thanks guy's I havent touched the bolts so just the inside of the rim to re-do. And hopefully they will stay up! :D
  7. I have this on my drivers door. Fecked if i know what is causing it though! Pump seems fine and i have tried a new handle so really not sure what to try next. Maybe the actuator in the door? Matt
  8. Sealant has started to peel a bit on the inside of my split rims. Not too sure what to buy? Any ideas? Thanks Matt
  9. There arent many C's out there that havent had rust on the edge of the front wings, or inside the arches.
  10. TBF I dont think rust should really be an indication of mileage. My car was mint bar similar sized rust spots at 70,000 miles and was doted on. Altho admittedly it was on drive and not in garage. You have to take into account that the paint on these cars is still going to be 15 years old depite what the mileage says. I agree if its not perfect though then walk. You also have to take into account that you could buy an older car that has had all known problems sorted. Again my car has been trouble free up to 80k but has suddenly had all the known stuff go wrong in the past 6 months! Plus as I mentioned my paint has gone, rubber trim is starting to perish etc etc need a new clutch.. So you could buy a 70k + miler car that has had big money spent on it getting it mint. For less than this one. I would love to go and check this motor out for you, will let you know if I manage to get my car back before Thursday. Unfortunately I am off to Hull Friday night or would go and see it then. it is a buyers market for sure though so offer him £5k you have nothing to lose.
  11. Very nice and I am loving the wheels! What are they? OZ? Merc?
  12. My starter motor has run for an extra minute ever since I have had the car ie 7 years from 40k miles. Should it not do this? I assumed it was just the norm???
  13. Hey m8 That is just up the road from me. Only problem is my car is in the bodyshop and I wont get it back until Wed/Thurs next week. If you can wait that long I will go and check it out for you. And my car is pretty mint so I can compare and let you know ;) I saw it for sale and despite the 52k i thought the asking price was quite strong. But if it is truly mint could be a good buy around the 5-5.5k mark Let me know if I can help Matt
  14. LOL That is mental you would have thought one would be enough. I guess the Enzo is for the school run.
  15. Friend of my mum wanted to chop her 4 month old Landcruiser in for a Golf GTi as it was too big and thirsty. VW garage offered her £20k as "they didnt really want it" That is a £17k loss in 4 months..... Mad thing is she went for it!
  16. I dont want to take up drifting! LOL I have front and rear Neuspeed bars, no braces. Softer suspension front over rear and I likey. Low speed turn in could be better but its oversteery enough in the wet. Had an interesting trip once travelling over the Snake Pass in the wet with the boot loaded up to the max :D Like the look of the KW V3's you suggest so will have to start saving my pennies.
  17. Exactly! I have just been through this. My car has been brilliant for 7 years of motoring. Last year things have started to go wrong and I was just getting fed up with it. So it was either sell it on for peanuts and spend a further £5k and get a boring Golf etc or spend £3k sorting it out 100% to hopefully give me another 7 years trouble free motoring! In the end there was no competition. Bit of hard work yes but that makes it all the more worthwhile. Go for the engine conversion, I reckon the new 2.0 out of the Gti would be a great way to go. More frugal than a V6 but more character than the 1.8T which I really don't rate.
  18. IMO Its all about improving the turn in on the Corrado VR! I can cope with a bit of over steer now and again but I cant cope with a wishy washy front end :gag:
  19. Also have you had your suspension lazer aligned since fitting? Handling will be pretty cr@p if not.
  20. Hey Neil How can you tell they have resistors fitted already?
  21. I have Koni Ta and Eibach springs and the ride is very hard. On the bumpy roads where I live the car is slower than on my old std worn suspension! I have mine as soft as they go on the front to aid ride and traction and about 1/2 turn from full soft on rear.
