Nice to see regular updates mate, looking good! So are we expecting it to be finished for March this time? :) :) jay -

I can never understand people spend an absolute fortune on a performance car like this and then have cheap tubular frame bucket seats in them. PLEASE get some proper composite ones.. Nice car though. (the Cobra that is) :) Jay -
The colour in "real life" is a kind of bluey/grey and I am not keen. I want to get nice (proper porsche silverknit carpet) black carpets and then maybe some nice logo mats. Also going to delete the rear "seats" and stick some metal poles in there ;) Jay
-
Black carpets is my next big interior mod. Jay
-
Well the first significant mod has been done. My new (old) wheel is back in my possesion. Cheers Kev. I think it looks like it belongs there and with a nice centre badge will look even better. Massive improvement over the old one (see first page) Jay

The coilovers I have just got are for the Girlfriends Beetle, not my Porker. I am currently on the hunt for some coilovers for the porker, which can be lowered a hell of a lot from where it sits at the mo. Shaggsy I am just about to put a picture of the new steering wheel in the Project 964 thread, just for you ;) Jay -

Absolutely no chance of fitting 4 wide 18" rims in the porker. They only just fitted in the GF's Beetle. It won't look so G4Y soon, coilovers have arrived now! :) She was most impressed with a "box of springs and stuff" that she had paid for. Jay -
I know. But I am sworn to secrecy. I even donated a bit to the project. :) Jay

I just wanted to write a quick post to explain why I am going to still be around on this forum despite selling the rado, the reason is the people... I bought a set of wheels from a guy in Eastbourne for the new Porker. After a quick post asking if anyone would be willing to pick them up for me until I could sort out shipping, Double 6s (Will) kindly offered to collect them, but not only that bring them up north with him on a trip he happened to be making. Now Will came "up north" earlier than expected complete with wheels which meant I missed meeting up with him, so he left them with another Forum member Stan24v. Stan very kindly stored them for me for a week while I organised collection. This evening he came and met me with the wheels and I just want to say a HUGE thank you to both of you for sorting it all out for me. Anything I can ever do to help you guys let me know. :D Also I would like to say a massive thank-you to Kev Hayward who very kindly let me have my old steering wheel back which I sold him a year or so ago and he has returned to me for free!! This is exactly why despite not being a rado owner I will continue to contribute and hopefully help people on the forum in ways that I can, like they have helped me out. So give yourselves a big slap on the back!! :D 8) Cheers all Jay -
Quickest car you've been in, owned and most interesting....

Fastest car I have been in is a friends 480BHP Porker 996 Turbo 4 X50. Stupid fast, but so civilised! Fastest I have been in a car is my old Rado at 165MPH in germany :) jay -
Its going to stay Left, as Porsche intended. :) Its actually more natural to drive like that and the only time I will have any problem is at toll boths :) The interior is not good at the mo, but I am working on it already, have plenty of plans. Starting with black carpets and a new steering wheel :) The car has done 80,000 miles but has had a £5k engine rebuild etc.. Jay
-
You need to change the entire dash panel as the space for the heater controls on the ealry one is much smaller. Which also means changing all the other associated bits too. Jay
-
No I should have put from £400. Leather and alcantara ones are around £700 :) Jay
-
They look like Recaro Pole Positions, which are about £400 each new. Jay
-
Will do mate. I am still very much learning it at the mo, but can tell it will be far more of a car than I will ever need on the road :) Jay
-
Do you want to sell them? :) Jay
-
Well when I come down and see you in it for real, I will put a seat cover on then. :) Jay
-
Well I told you I would get 4WD when I needed it Paul. Now I can use it :) I am seriously looking forward to getting my teeth into it now. Removed the rear wiper this evening, cleans the back up nicely. Need to get a screen with no hole in now :) Jay
-
Now that is what I am talking about. Nice work fella!! One small detail you have missed. I have already (done it tonight) removed the rear wiper :) Think the rear wheels are a little on the large side, but the look is awesome!!! 8) 8) 8) Jay
-
Nah, definately not that question, it was to build one of these :)
-
LOL. Didn't realise it was you Kev. Sorry mate :) You have PM
-
Could whoever bought my steering wheel off me a year or so back when I got my momo millenium please let me know if they still have it. I remember at the time that the smaller boss size may have caused you problems and you might not have fitted it?? Just wondering if its still around as I would quite like it back :) This is the one... http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/download.php?id=6404 Jay

No idea what the insurance group is, but its £200 more than the Rado was. I will bring it along, but its 4WD so I can't put it on the rollers at stealth unless they upgrade :) Jay
-
Wheels I have already. Coilovers and steering wheel are top of my list, oh and clear indicators and buckets and a roll cage and black carpets and so on........... ;) Jay
