24V Renshaw replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in Event Announcements & Discussion
If you are selling a Corrado we will ignore you, if not we might come and speak to you. LOL Jay ---------- Post added at 12:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:22 PM ---------- I was thinking of being at Knutsford services for about 7. Jay -
I think you will be OK. Get it out on the road and as long as the fluid level remains OK it will soon quiten down. Jay

Stanford Hall - M6 convoy Sunday am

Yep. What sort of time you planning to be there? -
I am very interested. Would you need the drivers door handle instantly, or could you wait for me to repaint and fit the passant ones...? Jay
-
If there is very little room then it's not fitted quite right. It should be very very close to the body, not the beam. Jay

Step one done. No more bright yellow struts to distract the eye when they are fitted. All black and ready to fit tomorrow. Springs are dark purple so no need to paint those. Jay -
No idea who is heading to Stanford Hall this Sunday, but I will be driving from Knutsford services down the M6 early on Sunday morning. Anyone fancy meeting up there or on route? Jay
-
Putting bits Inbetween the two faces that knock just worsens the problem though, ok the thud will be more dull, but it's more likely to happen.... Jay
-
Yep. Start with the position of the over beam section and then mod everything else to suit, you might need to trim a bit of the cat to silencer pipe to move it forward a bit to clear the beam when it swings up as Kev said. I have a Miltek and it fits absolutely perfectly, never knocks or bangs unless I hit a massive bump mid corner and it hits the bumper. Jay

Couldn't agree more. Its a pleasure to drive now and actually makes the ride feel much better as each bump doesn't result in a load of rattle and clatter!... Jay -

As I intend to go to Stanford hall this Sunday, I have a plan of attack for this week... Tuesday night - prep and paint the Spax rsx coilover front struts. Wednesday night - fit and adjust spax rsx coilover front struts Thursday night - wash and clay car Friday night - remove recaro front seats and drop to furniture restorer Saturday - detail paint as best I can and clean car as much as poss inside and out. Saturday evening - refit restorer recaros and fit new Momo wheel. It's going to be busy... Jay -
Stanford Hall 2012 now 1 July !

Really looking forward to this now. My car is far from where I ultimately want it to be, but am hoping to get it scrubbing up best i can for Sunday :) Jay -
I feel your pain too. The rear beam would be easy to remove and strip if there were no compensator and no bushes, no bolts and no stub axles :) Enjoying the progress though. Jay

Cheer James. The rubber bung makes such a massive difference and if you didn't know it was supposed to be there you would always have a rattling dash without knowing why. -
£25 and I will PayPal the cash now. I have screws, horn push etc.
-
I was commenting on the fitment not the function. I have seen probably 7 or 8 installs and every one is awful in terms of the holes in bodywork, routing of wires, poor cutting etc etc.. All relative but if you have a good one you are the first I have seen.
-
If you can have a look mate. I want a minter really.. Jay
-
Yeah fan is different too. You need everything for non aircon. Glovebox is never different, just the bottom shelf is butchered by the Diavia installers. Jay

LOL, yeah, but It didn't actually smell to be fair, it was just dirt really. I solved another annoying rattle in the dash yesterday. The original factory Sony CD player didn't have the rubber stopper on the back which supports the back end of the head unit in the metal plate on the dash. I found one in my box of bits and fitted it on the stereo. It is so much more solid now i have fitted it in and all the rattle and a squeaks in the dash have gone. -
It's the throttle damper. Jay

I managed to snap my wiper arm today while experimenting :) Is anyone breaking a Rado and could bring the wiper arms to Stanford Hall... Ideally i would like the whole mechanism too... Jay
-
Nice touch. Jay
-
Erm. Does anyone know if they fit? How much? Jay
