Thanks goldie - i did appreciate your PM & advise was taken. Im am of a similar mindset m8 but thought worth persevering just in case as even if the section is not very health it may assist with making the fabrication easier as it could be a template for the general form of it. like you say, if done with fresh metal it takes the ambiguity out of it all good point about the 'batch' too - i think i will speak with my friend who restores camper vans as maybe we could do a small run of close to pattern sections -

I would like to ask for the help of any breakers out there or anyone who may have any repair panels. My 95 VR has developed a hole in the drivers side sill just back from the front door line :( Does anyone have a breaker with 'OK ish' sills from which they would be prepared to cut out a section for me please? I would estimate about 12"-18" inches at a guess. I am currently assessing my options for repairing said hole & would appreciate any help. FYI i have checked repair panel stock in UK, zero, & with help of lovely forum members here i know there are sections available from classic part in germany but god damn they are expensive & im yet to contact anna at heritage to ask if they can source any thanks in advance Andy

Sill repair section available from Classic Parts via VW Heritage
g0ldf1ng3r replied to g0ldf1ng3r's topic in Exterior
thanks jamo - a good idea & one i had considered. by the look of ETKA & where the hole is i would need the sill repair panel, or a section of a sill, rather than the A panel i was looking at as it is past the door line towards the rear of the car (rather than the sill section that is directly below the wing my only concern with getting a section cut out is that you never know what that section will be like, it might look ok before its cut out but could be rotten/rotting itself. whereas if a piece is fabricated i will know it is a healthy bit of metal however its worth investigating with the breakers on here :) thanks to all for your help as always -
hi sanky mine is an AH for the VR (95) & IIRC the valver is also an AH (which is a 1990) it always amuses me when i see it as those are my initials :)

thanks sean, good to know the lenses are ok. i will keep an eye out for your confirmation on the tabs once you have checked :)

Corrado Heat Shield Hood Liner (Group Buy 2014)
g0ldf1ng3r replied to Southie's topic in Group Buy Feelers
looking nice leopan! how did you get on removing the old stuff & glue? -
no probs m8, hope she is ok. thanks for the response. i would appreciate some pics :) what is their condition like? IE any broken tabs etc or cracks or chips? & just to confirm they are late model spec? thanks
-
no problem carlos - best thing to do is put a new thread in the breaking section (as essentially it sounds like thats what your doing) & then list all the parts you currently have, with pictures if possible, & prices for each. you can then add/remove to it as required :) plus as billcor mentioned it is probably best to state your in Cali & advise regarding shipping locations & costs hope that helps m8 PS we are a nice lot & very welcoming on here really, just a little over protective when it comes to the sale of items due to past experiences ;)

thanks sean. i will inspect the centers i have & judge if i would be better getting new complete ones or just the vinyls that are on them much appreciated
-
Thanks Goldie, i had considered that option. i do have the centre caps themselves but the VW logos on them at present have that white worm infection & cracked the wheels themselves are 16"

i have found these but £20 sounds rather steep for some stickers :( https://www.demongraphics.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=62&products_id=1915&zenid=24abdd709ab86e06e04bc54408723de5
