Hmmm im not sure m8 - my blackberry VR has silver rear badges It was more of a visual comparison with my white valver as i chose to colour code the VW badge & corrado script badge when i sprayed the rear bumper prior to selling it years ago
-
tidy thanks stuart!
-
Out of interest & in preparation - does anybody know the relay type used in these looms & where to source? thanks

Thanks Ian - thats the thought ive been having im also wondering if maybe more than 1 has gone as i think the triple relay looms kur2y made had 3 in case 1 of them blew, so as to keep the dipped beam working but im not 100% on that last part i guess i could hold the relays & try to feel/hear if they do anything when the gf swtiches the lights on....maybe?
-
sorry goldie i missed your reply i will have a look & dig it out for you m8 oddly - my lights didnt have dipped beam the other night & ive no idea why. i tried searching for kur2y in suppliers forum but he seems to have disappeared

I paid £600 cash for both sides & the bonnet but if i had the choice again i wouldnt part with the cash & it was a very reputable bodyshop in my area It looked lovely when first came out the bodyshop, pics of fresh paint are on my build thread, but as previously mentioned they cut corners (didnt remove passenger door handle), didnt do exactly what was agreed (only went up to roof rail on 1 side not both), broke my central locking (probably done when they removed the one door handle), & worst of all they either had a dirty spray booth, contaminated air line or didnt clean the panel properly & my bonnet descended into a million mass of micro blisters.....some of which have now popped & left their own bl00dy pattern on the panel in essence do not skimp on prep or paint as you will only be disappointed in the end

nice work andy i know from my years of PC/application/server/network support roles that the first port of call of things to check when something goes wrong is always 'what has been changed recently' ;)
-
good info there jamo!
-
Oooo an envelope has just landed on my desk with chocolado for me & the gf :D mic_VR your true to your word & in great spirit! thank you for the chocolatey goodness from both of us :)

cracking videos & great racing! i really enjoyed watching these :D in the 1st race the mini didnt leave you much room to pass after he went onto the grass did he!! ive had some good fun with a siera cosworth 4*4 myself, after a couple of fun miles he pulled over & waved me past with a big thumbs up lol

having given up a fair amount of hard earned cash for the paint work i had done, both sides & bonnet, i would never skimp on cost again the 'reputable' body shop didnt do all of the work agreed, they were meant to paint up to roof rail line on both sides but only went up to bottom of door window on passenger side & didnt remove the door handle either, & the bonnet has ended up with micro blistering all over it as either the panel wasnt cleaned properly or their airline or spray booth were contaminated in some way i would rather have the old 'night sky' stone chipped bonnet than one with millions of bl00dy pimples. i think even old faded & marked paint looks better than a shoddy respray good luck if you go for it but please beware
-
oh dear thats a very much 2 boo's & 1 yay of a thread sorry to hear bout your unfortunate days!! any news on what might have been the problem? Ooo the arrival of chocolado! i wonder if my post box will be full later :)
-
nice find billcor! they look tidy & ive not seen them before - would arch work be required for 8's all round?
-
that said......i would still love it to complete the collection ;) lol
-
yup!! ebay alert!! with exception of those trying to make a quick coin it really is nice BUT its tornado red & they can be utterly awful for paint fade :(
-
thanks andy - much appreciated many many hours of polishing but was done in the garden with sun on my back & a scrumpy in hand ;) lol i will update my build thread as soon as they are fitted & drop you a line m8
