  1. Yeehaa - now thats some miles done Mr Bacon! :)
  2. Nice Jim, not long till the big 200 then :) Just out of interest, jim / jon, how many miles have you done in them yourself? I brought my VR on about 94k so im around the 55 K driving miles
  3. Daily VR for me too - just passed 150 K Girlfriends Storm is a daily also & thats about 120 K ish
  4. many of us on here like to help kev & there is quite a learning curve :) what did the garage flush it with? IIRC im sure ive read that the VR block doesnt like coolant flushes due to some very small channels which are designed to move coolant round the block effectively, which some flushes can end up blocking
  5. is this a typo......or auto correct at its worst LOL
  6. Kev - whilst your engine is running & the coolant temp rises your fans should kick in at 3 separate stages once temp surpasses 95 ish degrees there will be a thread on here which states what temps each stage kicks in if the garage only tested fan operation by putting power direct to them it could point to faulty coolant temp sensors as this would explain why when the engine runs the temp goes out of control the garage can easily test this by watching the fans as the engine is running & the coolant temp is rising i think the fan over run is controlled by another separate sensor but im not 100% sure
  7. Good point Jim - kevin, sounds like something is amiss as surely if the fans are 'working perfectly' they should be kicking in at all 3 stages [if vr6] to bring the coolant temp down :s it might help others with offering advice if you state your engine model too kevin :)
  8. intrigue is now even greater! hope you get some wifi soon jim ;)
  9. cant wait to see how this pans out!
  10. Pictures say a thousand words ;) lol if the hole is extremely small could a good super glue act as a temporary fix
  11. Thanks Anna, sounds brilliant.......though i have to say i nearly chocked on my water when i saw the price of the early sunroof motor!!!!!!
  12. Hello m8 Is this on your rado? Do you mean the cable has disconnected from the throttle pedal itself? If yes i would imagine as long as there is a sturdy connection reinstated between the 2 you might be ok as a temp fix. I hope the aussie recovery service hurries :)
  13. Stone that is awful news but im glad you are ok personally & with luck you will get your rado better than it was before some idiot forgot how to brake effectively!!
  14. Thanks for potentially finding a long awaited solution to this Jim :D As long as the price works out as we all hope put me down for 3 pairs pls (1 for the gf & 2 for me)
  15. sorry m8 im miles away but would help if i was up by you hope someone assists m8
  16. Glad you had a positive outcome m8, i hope you & your family can get better
  17. welcome m8. lots of great info on here, along with great people & a very helpful bunch :)
  18. Ha ha ha Jim - exactly the thought i just had lol
  19. i did a fair amount of research on silicone hoses & looked into a few of the china brands but was not impressed by reviews out there nor by their usual 1 year warranty plus it doesnt help with confidence when buying from so far away as who knows how difficult a warranty claim would be. i had read quite a few negative things on samco too & saw some horrendous examples of split hoses i ended up opting for roose motorsport hoses as they have a lifetime warranty, are manufactured to order & have a lifetime warranty. they also looked very good quality when they arrived & i was impressed by how sooth the internal walls were & especially so when compared against other hoses ive seen they are much more expensive than the china counterparts but it avoids worry etc & they are in the UK :)
  20. Hello there m80 Unfortunately you are in the same position as many of us, in that they are no longer available :( There is a thread http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=53830 in forum group buys where Stu started the ball rolling to get someone to manufacture them but i think it is still in limbo drop a post on there just in case there is any progress in the future ;)
  21. Welcome James Be good to see your motors, we all like pics here Im over in redditch m8 so not far away :)
  22. how did you get on with the viewing m8?
  23. hello m8 my VR had a new starter fitted whilst i was at stealth, it only took them about 20 mins ish. i think it simply unplugs & then a couple of bolts hold it in & possibly have to nudge a hose aside to get it out
