  1. Ha ha my hesitation too Jim. You only tend to see them on Jap stuff but i too think they would look mint on a rado. i couldnt see a weight though
  2. in a kind of similar vein.....ive been fond of volk racing wheels for a while now http://www.wheelstudio.com/content/products/9219/main.jpg
  3. Very unfortunate news m8 I hope you manage to work it out with the insurers & are back to full speed soon
  4. A thank you is needed to our mods on here! Well done guys, we appreciate you safeguarding us all from rogues xxx
  5. Ive not heard of the intake you mention but i have recently forked out for a BMC & my god the difference in engine sound is phenominal!!! the throaty burble at low revs, the way it turns into a full on gargantuan roar when you floor it & the way it goes all quiet'ish when just cruising on the motorway :D
  6. Thanks Oilman has the Feb winner been chosen / announced yet?
  7. well done chickie!!!! im sure we all dread a non closing sunroof :(
  8. Oooo that sounds interesting Anna......any details yet? i ended up cutting the drooping material away from the headliner as a temp measure but now i keep getting orange foam stuff on my head lol
  9. IIRC standard mounts are better for gearbox mounts as VT mounts all round can make it far too harsh Vince advised me to go with a VT front engine mount but OEM gearbox mounts when he had my VR recently
  10. ^^^^ absolutely what he said!!! the UK government cant even run this country properly without running it into the ground (or should i say the potholes we all have to suffer) & yet they want to continually force how we live our 'free' lives in this so called 'democracy'

    headlight refurb

whilst we are on about refurb'ing head lights...... does anyone know if it is possible to fix/replace the plastic tabs which allow the head light adjustment?
  13. Thanks for ^^^ Kev! Ive had some replacement lenses to fit to my VR as the previous owner gave me them when i collected the motor & this, along with the sunny weather, gives me inspiration to get them changed over :)
  14. welcome, glad you could join our fun :)
  15. we dont drive on roads any more - we drive round holes with bits of tarmac/pebbles/clay/sand/whatevertheidiotsfeellikelaying kind of connecting them :( i would be pursuing a claim against your local council m8
  16. Thanks Anna its good to see all your hard work coming to fruition! :)
  17. Wow you would have your work cut out with that one on the link! it looks like a full nut & bolt restoration could be required there how are your mechanic skills etc? would you be intending to carry out all the work yourself? there is a buying guide on here which lists the main points & things to look for oh & welcome by the way :)
  18. Welcome back Paul! great to hear your love of corrado hasnt diminished even today i would love to buy my white 16v back if i could find her

    Nice G60

^^^ that they are Jim, that they are ;)
  20. i had similar when i went from OEM to non OEM gear knob i fixed it by removing the leather gaitor & putting a small rubber ring/gromet round the shaft, then put the leather gaitor back on & once the gear knob was tightened up fully i could move the rubber ring up through the leather so as it holds it up against the bottom of the gear knob i hope that makes sense! far too many knobs & shafts in one sentence for my liking lol
  21. im not too far away from birmingham either - eyes will be hunting for it i really hope you get it back & then castrate the mother f**kers!!
  22. im not sure about the fuel pump sorry m8 your experience doesnt seem silly, it may have been a struggle but you have not only saved money but also learnt more about your rado....which is never a bad thing ;)
  23. No worries m8, it was nice to see that your motor had progressed so much on my last visit there. I may even see it again soon as unfortunately it looks like my VR will be having to go back there once again as its still not right :( Solitudes are wrapped up nice & warm in my gf's garage ready to have quick detail & then transfer onto her storm when the weather improves - thank you once again for them!!
