no disrespect to the poster but as has been discussed previously the prices for fog lenses & headlights for example are astronomical!!! eg £300 for one side late fog light they need to be much more realistic & not take the preverbial out of corrado owners

i did wonder about the element as the seat has never really got very warm when the relay behaves i will give the not sitting on it a try how would i check the continuity of the elements in the seats m8?

hi keyo are they to go in the audioscapes? the JL C1-650x are in your price range on amazon & would be a very good choice, they will run fine off a stock stereo albeit the head unit is rather under powered JL Audio C1-650X - C1 6.5" (165 mm) 2-Way Coaxial Speaker 225W: Amazon.co.uk: Car & Motorbike ive got the C2-650x but they run off a 55w RMS sony unit the audioscape grills also fit over them if you put a slight dome in them

Whilst most of my interior is out i thought it might be worth asking if anyone can point me in a direction to fix my drivers heated seat relay buzzing? it doesnt do it all of the time but more often than not & always when i want a warm bum sometimes i can turn the dash switch up & there is no noise immediately but then the relay starts buzzing like mad, other times it buzzes as soon as you turn the dash switch on the passenger side doesnt do it i think i tried swapping the 2 relays over but cant remember exactly the outcome thanks in advance

i can vouch for the JL Audio's m8 - they sound superb in the audioscape pods 😄 but they aint cheap!

no sadly the front kamei splitter is missing on the 16v in the 7 years i was parted from it someone obviously didnt know what they actually had & removed it 😞

yeah i will be sad to part with it but then the VR6 is almost done & now has one of the features i loved about the 16v - the Kamei X1 kit 🙂 it has been replaced by a 2004 R53 mini cooper S - which i got a bargain on!! 82K, fully loaded with xenon headlights, heated full leather interior, sat nav, air con etc & factory option chilli kit which is bumpers & skirts. plus it has been breathed on with uprated intercooler, 17% pulley, ram air induction & stage 2 remap - think it has more horses than the VR6 lol i will be changing the 17's on it though for some 15" * 7J Zender Star's which i recently picked up for a very good price

you would think so but 2 weeks on ebay & only 1 offer had to drop the price more than i wanted but it is time to part with it & hopefully it will be gone on thurs my VR6 is the investment & ive not the money nor the inclination to restore the 16v unfortunately on a good note, its replacement arrived on saturday 😄

he only has the rear view mirrors m8 as the clip is normally bonded to the windscreen (so would be sold with a screen)

have you tried lilfuzzer who used to be active on here? i can drop him a message if you would like? he has sorted me out with a wiper motor & drivers wiper linkage this week & is normally well priced (FYI he is my go to person for used parts for corrado's)

they may well rocket in an auction - last set of late ones i saw were over £250 i have some in my VR but had to cut the window switch opening myself as there were for early model i love mine as i put some 6" JL audio in them (or 6.5" i cant remember) - however they do mean you need to open the door fully to get in else you can catch them with your foot easily problem with the factory speaker housing is that you cant put a speaker with a large magnet in them else they push the door membrane back & cause you leaks

i had my VR done at Alcester Car Care & the result was fantastic unfortunately it took a much longer time than quoted, mainly due to the 1st covid lock down but also as it seems many body places always take a lot longer than they say - however it is quality of work that counts 🙂

good info keyo thanks & yes i make sure i declare all mods to my insurer, always have - in fact this year i had to ring flux back after i received the paperwork as there were only a few mods listed, when i spoke to their customer services the guy checked & said "ahh yes sir, unfortunately we cant fit all of your mods on the paperwork but they are all listed" PMSL

ive still got a set in my 16v but they will be transferred to the VR6 once the valver is sold 🙂

VW Corrado 1.8 16v G reg 1990 183,800 miles – will rise slightly as regularly used MOT until November 2021 Originally brought & owned March 2000 to June 2007, mileage was approximately 90,000 Brought for 2nd time April 2014 on 172,777 miles Specification: 1.8 16v Kamei X1 side skirts, door inserts, rear skirt – this body kit is extremely rare & approximate value of £1000 to £1500!! (I have been driving Corrado’s for 20 years and only ever seen a handful including this one & the one on my VR6) BBS RX2 wheels – 2 piece split rims which were stripped, refurb’d & rebuilt in 2015. Powerflow stainless steel exhaust – which I had fitted during the 1st ownership period. New OE steering wheel in 2015 Uprated headlight loom & Ring Xenon ultimate bulbs. No cracks in headlight glass, fog glass or indicators. Active rear spoiler works both at speed & on button. Sunroof tilts but struggles to slide. Original paint. Lupo wipers Original history was complete when I originally purchased the car but had been lost when I brought it for the second time – as such I have history from 2014 onwards. i got it direct from pilkington's as my friend has a m8 who works there but try giving them a call direct yes they had stock of various options, clear, blue stripe or green stripe IIRC also options for encapsulate or non-encapsulated but i would recommend the encapsulated as it came with all the trims attached & i think the clips etc only thing it didnt come with was the fitting blocks, which are still available from VW
