  1. thanks cressa appreciate the offer but its not a massive amount ive put on the group buy for people to confirm or add to the list by monday next week so will sort monies out end of the week ish
  2. right then! finally got confirmation from the connector place that they have what we need so, i can source us the OE style connectors to plug into the headlights & i can get the opposite one which will plug the tail back into the loom - thus needing 2 of the 1 type & 1 of the other each this will allow us to have watertight OE connections for all parts!! so far, if ive counted right there is.... me cressa gotvach fendervg keyo crispo anybody else want one then shout up by monday 12th Oct as i will then close the list & order the connectors FYI it looks like i am going to be paying for the connectors out of my own pocket & then ask people to reimburse me. the actual cost of the loom will then be paid directly to kurzy
  3. i was looking for lenses only, they show some but 239 euro is unacceptable https://www.ebay.de/itm/VW-Corrado-Nebelscheinwerfer-Blinker-US-beige-fog-light-535947699B-535941700B/163475078383?hash=item260fdfbcef:g:O1AAAOSw0eNdSEp5 if i put new lenses in i would never use the fogs themselves so as to avoid heat cracking but for now i will just cover them over hmmmm i wonder if i could gently grind a chamfer onto the hella lenses that the guy gave me when i brought the VR6 - gotta be worth a go as they are just going to sit there otherwise does anyone know, or can find out, if ETKA or similar show the fog lense dimensions?
  4. ahh ok, thanks m8 appreciate the offer but no need as ive ordered some of the black with white lettering ones from the guy on etsy had a look at ebay.de for corrado parts & jesus momma the sellers must be smoking crack or something with the prices they are asking - talk about taking the piss with enormous price tags eg 479 euro for both fogs in housing = absolute joke!!
  5. as in the lenses themselves cressa? where from pls?
  6. small update the fog lenses that were given to me from the chap i brought the VR6 off all those years ago gave me a box with new fog lenses in there - sadly, when the paint shop came to fit them they are not right as they are not tapered so, cracked fogs are detracting from my lovely fresh paint 😞 but i saw these on FB this morning & the poster gave me the link for them - i thought id share with here as ive just ordered some Hella covers 😄 https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/807159510/vw-corrado-vr6-g60-16v-8v-hella-fog-lamp?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=vw+corrado+vr6+hella&ref=sr_gallery-1-1&organic_search_click=1
  7. just seen these wheel replies thanks guys the ones i was looking at something doesnt feel right so ive sacked it off for now
  8. i agree you do m8 ive put the value at £18k for my VR6 but with the quality of the paint finish it now has after all the work im thinking of aiming for agreed of between £20 to £25k a fellow member here has had £19K agreed on his mk2 golf recently
  9. nice article - though i dont agree with the part about further appreciation i dont think it unreasonable for us to be achieving agreed value insurance values of around 20k mark for some examples - espcially seeing as a VR^ sold at auction 2 weeks ago for £17.5K with fees
  10. ha ha im sure its like you guys are reading my mind lol they are indeed the other ends fendervg - the part that will allow us to have OE connection back to the loom also.....ive had a reply from auto-click & they are open - i will contact them tomorrow & arrange things chicken fuckin dinner!!! lol
  11. i wanted to speak to them to check they are actually open as lots of sites say they are but then they arent
  12. they are indeed keyo & also the company i found yesterday & then called them today but no answer - ive emailed them just in case
  13. no m8 they are different entities from what i can see rayne are not even open at the moment 😞 & from what i remember, without causing offence to rayne, i had heard their looms were not very reliable
  14. keyo could you ask him where from pls ive spent another 2 hours today trying to find them - the companies ive seen advertising them are not answering enquiries
  15. sadly there is no answer currently on that company phone number, ive emailed to check they are operating. with all due respect fendervg i am not going to complicate this any further with regard to the sidelights. kurzy has kindly agreed to give his time to make a few looms but this does not include a redesign for a function that was never part of the uprated looms. neither kurzy or myself will be making any profit to cover our time spent, of which mine has already increased due to the OE plugs. i hope you understand
  16. appreciate your help fender ive had a browse on the site ive found the headlight end connector & think ive found the other one we need - i will give them a call tomorrow the site also states, upon reading it again lol, that terminals & seals are included - i will verify when i call them tomorrow fingers crossed guys
  17. thanks stuart but that link is for rayne auto who are not currently open so they are not an option - plus they are very pricey
  18. nasty price tag indeed but more a huge margin for the people making those looms, wire, relays, connectors & fuses aint nowhere near 230 euro LOL fender you are a diamond!!! that part number worked a treat & ive now got a link for the connectors to the headlight......& they are cheap as chips any chance you can get me a part number for the male end as well pls? we could then avoid a tail to the factory loom & have a nice plug in im sure kurzy will know what size grommets will be needed so i will consult him for that bit & then cost those up
  19. Wow 230 euro's!!! that is hefty price tag & a massive difference from the £55 i think kurzy's were last time a few years ago i am trying to find the OE connectors but without a part number or knowing the exact product name it is proving difficult
  20. 18 months m8 - the chap said that as long as you can meet the council's objections then they cant keep denying it hmmm personally i would be wary of paying that amount for an appeal - you can meet planning yourself, i think its £26 or something if what i was told is correct im thinking of booking a meeting & possibly reapplying
  21. i am going to have a look for the connectors fendervg but the link was for rayne automotive & they are currently closed ha ha thanks for vouching for the quality of kurzy's work - FYI ive had 3 of his looms historically, for 3 different corrado's, & it was me who organised the last group buy of his looms on here 😉 ha ha ha also, i agree the OE connectors are not essential - ive ran all 3 of mine with the spade connections & never had a single issue until i was sloppy with the cable retention after getting the VR back from paint & the fans rubbed through part of the cable 😞
  22. wounder m8!! basically same response i got 😞 i too expressed that there are other garages of similar nature in my area & also that i had consulted neighbours none of which had any objections a customer in our shop has been fighting for planning for 18 months, he suggested the councils pre-application meetings which you can pay for where you sit down with someone from planning & go through your proposal it is a joke really as if your neighbours are ok with the proposal then the council should back the fuck off but they act like little hitlers!! (apologies for strong wording lol)
  23. hello m8 no drilling etc is required to fit, it is possible to install by only removing the grill thanks for the link on the OE connectors - i will forward it to kurzy who is making them - though obviously at £15 for just the connectors it will inflate the cost BUT would potentially be nice to have proper connectors
