  1. the do pair nice with the JL speakers in them - however they make getting in & out tricky in tight spaces im very much looking forward to the fresh paint but also cant wait to see the Kamei kit on it :D ha ha ive already sold the 16v before & dont think i could sell it again - id rather it sat on my drive unused than be on someone else's drive lol ahh yeah you're in essex so a far treck away, pity though m8
  2. ha ha the beast is doing well m8 i treated the VR to some JL audio 6.25" fronts to sit in the Audioscape door pods i got ages ago, modifying them to fit the late window switch was a doddle. i have also booked it in for a full window out resto paint job with an extremely reputable guy in Feb & the plan is to have the Kamei skirt kit i got off goldie on here put on at the same time (the same kit i have on the 16v) the poor 16v on the other hand hasnt moved for about 18 months - hopefully nothing too major will have eaten itself by the time i get it back on the road again lol nice to hear you are still enjoying your motor m8 - out of interest how far are you from Stratford upon Avon? i was thinking of potentially trying to organise a corrado meet at the Caffiene & machine place there next spring
  3. Mr Bacon!! good to know you are still lurking these waters m8! i hope life is well
  4. ive got the VR6 going in for a full restoration in Feb next year - could you add me to the list too for both sides pls

    Body panels

as far as i know the bonnet & wing differences are only split between early or late models early models have a dip in the middle of the bonnet whereas late models have a raised middle. (i have an early 16v & a late VR) late models have the slightly flared front & rear arches. i dont believe the early VR's had the raised middle bonnet but i cant confirm
  6. "Anybody has access to the general areas of the forum, but certain areas, like vendor deals, parts for sale, meets and ride outs, technicle guides are for members only." that sounds like a positive way to run a forum - good idea for here :)
  7. i have donated before & am willing to do so again this forum & the great people we have on here are too valuable to loose
  8. superb news - thanks for sorting this out, as may have said it is very appreciated
  9. Hi Andi thanks for the post i have figured that if i click 'go advanced' to reply to a post it tends to work ok - however accessing threads in general throws errors such as this... Function name must be a string on line 1566 in /data/websites/direct.the-corrado.net/includes/class_bbcode.php #0 /data/websites/direct.the-corrado.net/includes/class_bbcode.php(1021): vB_BbCodeParser->parse_array(Array, 1, 1, 0) #1 /data/websites/direct.the-corrado.net/includes/class_bbcode.php(542): vB_BbCodeParser->parse_bbcode('After some rece...', 1, 1, 0) #2 /data/websites/direct.the-corrado.net/includes/class_bbcode.php(456): vB_BbCodeParser->do_parse('After some rece...', 0, 1, 1, 1, true, false, 'on_nl2br', false, 1) #3 /data/websites/direct.the-corrado.net/includes/class_postbit.php(1242): vB_BbCodeParser->parse('After some rece...', 20, '1', false, NULL, NULL, false, 'on_nl2br') #4 /data/websites/direct.the-corrado.net/includes/class_postbit.php(329): vB_Postbit_Post->parse_bbcode() #5 /data/websites/direct.the-corrado.net/showthread.php(1096): vB_Postbit->construct_postbit(Array) #6 {main} as such it is very difficult to actually open a thread to read it - that error message was for a thread in the suppliers section for example having had a random click around it seems that i can open most of the different sections EG "engine bay" or "suppliers forum" but when try to go into a thread within the section the errors seem to be very hit & miss with more miss than hit not sure if that helps but hopefully it will
  10. fingers crossed the items are good - i know i cant wait to get my hands on the bonnet & get it fitted :D
  11. does Jim no longer moderate on here chaps? is there anyone who is supposed to be able to support the site any more?
  12. thanks for the message sharpy we are all good to go :)
  13. chicken dinner! i cant read the PM i received at the moment as it keeps giving an error i have sent sharpy my mobile number for pics as well - hopefully he will be back on here again soon
  14. IIRC the tailgate was slightly cheaper than the bonnet Guy - how would you feel about a £500 & £400 split, with the bonnet being the former? if you're happy to drop it off to me in the midlands that should cover some of your fuel too m8 if thats cool with you Guy & sharpy is ok with it then as long as the pics are good lets do this **** :)
  15. cool a glass man in the midlands - i will keep this in mind as the VR should hopefully be going for paint in the near future
  16. thanks for all the positive encouragement fella's - it is appreciated! the love for the rado has never faded, just circumstances have caused me to not use them for a while. ive done a few things on the VR recently. mainly just audio & cleaning up but the engine bay is now looking nice & the inlet manifold has had a spruce re-polish so nice & shiny. i have finally gotten round to modifying the early model Audioscape door pods so as to accept the window switches & ive put some nice 6.5" JL Audio speakers in them. I have also installed an Infinty basslink sub/amp i will get round to taking some pictures & update my build thread soon the valver has been rather neglected though & not moved for over a year but it has been under cover
  17. thanks delfinis, it hasnt been pleasant :( good job ive got my springer spaniel that she brought me to keep me going
  18. ahhh yeah that worked, thanks Dox! indeed m8, it has been a very tough year so far but the business is doing well & im still living lol
  19. what keep me logged in box? where is it Dox? errrr, very long story but i got diagnosed with Autism, left my old job where i was on here all the time cause i worked for a pair of idiots, set up my own company, took both rado's off the road for a while, & then my girlfriend died on fathers day last year as such its been a tough time but i recently got the VR back on the road & am gradually getting back into things
  20. Hi Does anybody know why this site keeps logging me out all of the time? it keeps happening which makes it very difficult & annoying to make a post or reply to an existing one - which in turn is causing me not to bother with the hassle of it ive been away for a while but would like to become active again Pls help thanks g0ldf1ng3r
  21. Hi Are you willing to split the items? I may be interested in the bonnet? is it the full carbon fibre version? IE the underside bracing is all carbon as well thanks
  22. hi ian i had very odd oil temp readings when my VR was in with stealth - long story short, vince checked the temps at the oil temp sensor with a laser pointer jobbie & it was consistently 6 degrees lower than the reading reported on the mfa i wouldnt worry with the temps you have as long as they go nicely after the thrash all should be ok i would have thought Kev Bacon was a bit of a whizz with temps & from memory of conversations with him im fairly sure he would agree however - i do know that with our VR engines specifically i had been told never to use a product like rad seal as that can end up blocking the very small channels in which the water flows for cooling oil cooler could be suspect but AFAIK they either work or dont, rather than gradually get worse
  23. i run a Longlife system on my VR, custom fabricated on the vehicle with hi flow cat & is awesome normal cruising, including motorway speeds, is nice & quiet - rapid acceleration & it goes from a hummm to roar as the rev's build i chose longlife as their warranty is for the exhaust itself, rather than for the original purchaser, as such it transfers to new owner if car is ever sold
  24. winner!! thanks muchly, will get on to that
  25. thanks for confirming the wiper function is via a relay - you wouldnt know which one & what to change it to would you?
