thank you for taking the time to look though :)
-
oddly i had seen this one fb only an hour or so ago with the guy asking what his interior was & if it was rare & worth money next thing it is on ebay
-
how about our friendly VW guy on here jim, Thursdave? he gives us max discount on stealer products also, what is the stated coverage of the tub?
-
i found some auto glym tar remover was superb in producing a clean surface to re-mount the side strips on the gf's storm it also made removing the old sticky stuff very easy just dont leave it on the paint for too long lol
-
a decent car body tape should be ok i would have thought - not so sure on the silicone as it could give a wonky fit & be a beatch to remove if you wanted to
-
cool my thought was always about the degraded flakey material part as i am unsure if it could be replaced. i did wonder how they would look with that just removed as i will never put roof bars on lol it is possible to get a primer which is designed to work with plastic, which is meant to adhere to the plastic & then allow the paint to adhere to the primer i have a feeling i used the one from halfords when i refurb'd the 7 slat grill for the valver & the results were nice - pics in my members thread i guess if you then use a flat matt black it would kind of replicate the OE finish do you have anything in mind for the sticky strip on the underside?
-
winner!! are you planning on refurb'ing them?
-
maybe even break out the old rave pack tapes :D
-
i have projects galore at home, what with the house renovation & 2 rado's!! unfortunately i cant bring that work to work :( lol
-
our place shuts between crimbo & new year but i added an extra day crimbo is always my longest holiday period of the year, i said to the gf the other day that i should really change that next year & have the longer holiday in the warm summer lol
-
yep - no updates before the holidays means trying to while away the 8 hours ho hum, last day till 4th Jan
-
that is the best way to get a happy MPG lol
-
blimey! i tend to average out around 28mpg ish over a few thousand miles MFA reports somewhere between 32 to 34 mpg on my 14 mile journey to/from work but i have seen just over 36
-
ha ha i keep the MFA on oil temp in the VR too (5 clicks on the MFA button) - not in the valver though i dont find the MPG output too bad on the VR but then i have only been pottering in it for ages - hopefully that will change once i can have some confidence in the brakes ;) MPG is kind of a guess in the valver as sometimes it flips to very high readings or 99.9 lol
-
my day every day at work!!! lol dreaming of yellow 4 pots is helping a tad though
-
yup that would be the one Mic!!
-
ha ha idly curious - careful with that cat Jim lol i am terrible for watching my water & oil temps, almost to the point of OCD lol
-
good news - valver is fixed & ready old sigma cat1 ripped out but turns out it wasnt that - save complications in future by it not being there though & the fob had stopped locking the doors anyhoo it was a disintegrating distributor - replaced & all gravy now - collecting later :) also mechanic said he has checked the HiSpec box & all parts etc look to be there. apparently they are VERY yellow lol i just hope they look how i envisage them with the blackberry body & black wheels
-
those temps all sound fine Jim & in line with what my VR does post Stealth work engine warm up time will be effected a little by outside temps but as you say do the rad hose test to check your stat as that will give you peace of mind FYI my fans come on a lot more post stealth work but i had all 3 water temp sensors changed during it also, on my VR the oil dash reading is a steady 6 degrees above its actual temp. I know this as Vince did a check for me with a laser temp sensor after id has some haywire readings (which were found to be due to a split wire on the connector for the oil temp sensor) you may also be experiencing a higher efficiency from your newly rebuilt engine, possibly giving you the slightly lower temps maybe
-
at least you are driving it though Jim :)
-
tidy Jim! & good girl - hope you enjoyed the feeling & it helps you restore your love
-
ha ha thank you kind master ;)
