Just run a pipe underneath the car or use a catchcan between the crankcase breather and intake like in the picture on this thread: http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... c&start=20

You can buy polyurthene inserts which will stiffen the mounts up. I think turn2 sell them.
-
Think a decat will only make a difference in conjuction with other mods. The corrado already has a high flow cat so there's not much to be gained unless the breathing is improved.

Here's the link to see the power/torque curves: http://www.mmm-five.net That's producing more torque than a supercharged vr6!
-
Found some more figures: Bhp: 229.2 @ 5829rpm Torque: 244.7 @ 3672rpm The spec is: BMC Induction Filter, AmD Throttle Body ,AmD Re-chip ,Schrick VGI, Schrick 260 Cams ,Schrick Big Valve Head AmD programmable Schrick VGI control unit.

Shrek Manifold ! Throttle body gas flow! LPG Corrado VR6

The control unit and the other bits you need might cost a bit unless you know someone who is handy with electronics but otherwise a good buy indeed! What effect does the gas have on performance? -
Shrek Manifold ! Throttle body gas flow! LPG Corrado VR6
corradovr6sc replied to Johnboy98's topic in Engine Bay
AMD do enlarged throttle bodies Stealth is a schrick supplier so should be able to get a control unit. -
Americans say pinging though so they think it sounds different :)
-
Nevermind, its worth it in the end!!! That's if there is an end

A genuine vr6 water pump from vw used to £15 which is v. cheap by the stealers standards. Probably the only reasonably priced corrado part :!:
-
Phat, are the gaskets on the schrick reusable? Are you making your replacement gaskets out of metal?
-
The charger acts as a kind of cooler by blowing cold air into the engine. Since fitting mine the temps haven't changed, probably dropped a bit actually but I've fitted an oil cooler just for good measure. Standard vr6s too should have an additional oil cooler imo.

On the performance vw website in the video section there's a red supercharged corrado doing a 1/4 mile sprint.

I'm just having to replace my leaking rear koni sport dampers afer 50k of fairly hard use so I think they have been a good buy. They cost about £50 for a rear damper and £100 for the front. -
cheers :)

Henny, how's the base of the aerial removed from the roof?
-
The heat exchanger hoses split eventually. Don't think they are the same. Its a fiddly job but could probably be done if the rad was removed otherwise the front end has to come off.

C29 BAD, the blue schricked/charged rado (storm) belongs to Guy Hartley of the CCGB. -
What is this an why is there water pissing out of it??????
corradovr6sc replied to CharlieHorse's topic in Archive
Could be just the hoses which have a tendancy to split with age causing a coolant leakage. -
You've answered a question for me there Kev. I was positive that the 'box was noisier after fitting vibratech engine mounts and now I know why 8)
-
I saw it. It looked good and was cut round the wiper motor.
-
You can check the oil temp by clicking the button on the end of the wiper stalk on the steering column. It's called the mfa which is an onboard computer which logs oil temp, averege mph, outside temp, distance covered etc. Click it 2-3 times and it will show oil temp in degrees centigrade.
-
The supercharger of course :D Never fails to put a smile on my face  but the suspension was probably my favourite mod as it made a good car into a great car.
-
What is the correct torque for manifold nuts? It said 15-20 nm on the schrick instructions and 25 nm for the standard manifold in the Bentley or doesn't it matter :?
-
Yes the power comes in like a turbo now, big mid-range thump plus strong top end. :) Can't really tell if the top end is better than before but the engine is certainly a lot punchier lower down. The switchover is smooth too. I've also changed the vacuum line from the tank to the solenoid with a smaller bore hose so it's a nice tight fit. Other than that no fitment problems except the bonnet of course.
