  1. No!!! You will hate every minute of driving a cheap turd compared to your G :cuckoo:
  2. Yep agree with the above, keep it as you know the car and problems. You can work on it and enjoy using it in the future. I've got a hefty mortgage and having the VR is a fun escape from all the grind of paying for it. You know it makes sense :norty:
  3. Had time to do a bit of a wash and clean up today. Tried the clay bar I bought the other week. Was amazed at the amount of crap it pulled off the paintwork Worked a treat guys, oh no I'm liking this detailing game more now! Anyway a couple of pics to hopefully show the standard of cleaning this stuff does-
  4. Ok, as the last answer wasn't what you were looking for, here's my personal top 5- 1. Mystic Blue 2. Blackberry 3. Satin Silver 4. Ice Grey 5. Black
  5. Its Mystic Blue! Gets another vote, haha. Have to say Blackberry is lovely, so is silver.

    vr6 gear knob

Sounds like it doesn't fit, so best to send it over to me instead! I've got a silly alloy one that makes my hand cold
  7. I would say that I've got total confidence in mine. Its only had the stalling problem a couple of times and doesn't hinder use when it did happen. I've only done about 1700 miles in 9 months but its started first time every time after being out of use for a couple of weeks or so. And for each bit of maintenance I do, I can actually see or feel the benefit in the car. So coming this year will be new brakes, bushes, prob TT wipers etc. All stuff to improve an already great car. Buy the best car you can afford with a good history of being looked after and you should be alright with them, unless they don't like the look of the new owner and get a bit fiesty on you!!!
  8. If its a chrome badge, you could be better off selling it for lots of money and buying a brand new badge from TPS or dealers for £12 and spraying that. Chrome badges are hard for people to find and the new one comes ready primed. I sold the chrome and bought a new one :)
  9. Haha cool mate. I'm with you on the In-pro's, so many hate them but they work a hell of a lot better than standard one's. If you get a chance to try or see what HID's are like, then go for it. Beer and red wine tonight for me, so I must be defensive as well mate! Haha.
  10. Oh no, something amazing to save up for! Prices, Prices needing to know how much to save! Awesome sounding figures.
  11. Millerman- do you use HID's with yours? I would have mental good lighting if I got hold of the uprated loom! We can see the way forward! Do the adjusters look like a white plastic four sided knob on a thread going into the light unit? Asking as I bought my lights 2nd hand and these came with them and not sure what adjusters on their own look like.
  12. Try to stick with them mate. Mine have HID's and produce a far superior light than standard lights. Do you have round wheel to adjust the position on the back on of the unit? Or is the bit you're missing? When you do get them sorted, they are great. Ok they don't look like standard but for me the function far out weighs the form.
  13. So do I mate!!! They do look scary big, should be big grins from braking soon. Have to watch out for the idiots behind
  14. Spent the last couple of months picking up bits and bobs for my big brakes conversion. Bought a pair of Porsche Cayenne rear Brembo calipers, was very lucky with these. Came with pads, pad locators and brake lines still attached. Have now bought new pads as well. - Next came nice shiny new 323mm Cupra R discs from KipVR (thankyou so much mate), bloody huuuge- Had a very clever mate do some computer designs for me for the brackets, I've now made one in oak and have been playing about with fitting positions of the holes. Very nearly there, just a small bit tweaking and I'm sure it will be spot on- So all I need to get is the final metal versions of the brackets, and 5.1 brake fluid. My brother will make sure I don't go too far wrong with fitment as he's a mechcanic by trade. Cheers for looking.
  15. Wow amazing braking for an amazing car. We're in awe of this masterpiece :notworthy:
  16. Hope they get back in contact, cool idea.
  17. I might be going a bit mad but I'm sure I have read somewhere about the holes in the VAG front mount getting filled in by someone to make it a little more like a solid rubber mount. Is this just daft or does it make a helpful difference?
  18. Mine arrived safely yesterday, great one, thanks  Just need to work out where to stick it!
  19. comfort and looks = Audi S3 leather Recaros!
  20. You can always move that bit down and underneath in the cubby hole part :salute:
  21. Just a quick note to everyone interested in these dice, bullets and pool balls. I've seen all of them and have purchased dice myself, they are absolutely top quality and look great. Buy with confidence guys
  22. Thanks for your list Kev, helps me keep on track for doing mods in the right sort of order. In the process of big brakes, then thinking of renewing the old bushes all round. Just bought all new engine mounts to replace the soggy old ones. Would love big power but want to be able to use it! And not be spinning the wheels all the time as has been mentioned.
