Yep, I agree, specially the Cupra R which has to be the on e to have..... I think they're quite understated too..
-
Me? 80's Porsche 911 or TVR... but then I'm thinking of buying a house too so maybe not!... Mk2 8v GTi's are cheap as chips and you can get 37 mpg out of them... I use one as a town run-around... or go for some jap civic that will never break down..
-
As Phil said... I had this twice in one day resulting in 3 AA vans in one day... must be a record... Anyway, not had any problems since.... just bend the hook round so it won't slip off and don't over depress the pedal BUT... if the hook snaps, you're f'k'd until you get a new cable..

HiAsAKite replied to belfastfumanchu's topic in General Car Chat
Car: LHD VR6, uprated brakes, Me: 27, clean license, 4 year no claims Insurance: Fully comp with protected NCD: £770 with admiral. (But they also insured my mk2 Gti for £245!) -
Bally.. what colour was the one you spotted near Guildford? ...was it a deep red pearl VR?..if so, may have been me (especially if LHD)
-
No problem with this on my Corrado... but my mk2 Gti is an absolujte b!tch for passenger footwell 'swimming pools'... think its the door cards and shrucken window seals..
-
F'ker!... Again??!!!! You around.. fancy a beer?
-
Dark blue VR6 on the M25 heading north bound before going onto the M40... you followed me for a few miles before going past and we waved..
-

Are Corrado's the best looking affordable car ever?
HiAsAKite replied to PhatVR6's topic in General Car Chat
Someone thought mine was a 'new' car once (i was waiting for the AA Van!!)... I had to explain to them that it was 10 years old!.. I felt quite chuffed though (but not by the end of the time by which I had gone through a total of 3 AA Vans) -
what fit girl i go into the guildford brach all the time where does she work LOL at the front desk ??? Yeah.. which one? I don't, but I might now..

Deep red pearl VR6 on Saturday 20th around 3pm driving from Southfields/Earlsfield to the Wandsworth one-way system... pulled up next to you at some lights
-
I stand corrected... my mirrors do heat up. It just takes a couple of minutes to do so. Still don't have heated washer jet nozzles though :(
-
Mine also do nothing when the demister is on... however I also do not have heated washer jets despite electric windmirrors etc.. mine is a LHD German Euro spec import with extra exhaust cooling pipes for hot climates..so I suspect it wasn't in the spec.. (neither was aircon unfortunately,.)

-
Think you forgot to mention the billowing smoke and burning smell that accompanies driving with seized callipers..... I got a few looks from people I'll say that. Since then I always park it in gear and not on the handbrake (habit learned from my Golf)..

I thought there were 2 firing sequences used with flat fours.. one noticeably smoother then the other..and this was the sequence used by Porsche in the boxer... hence what the term boxer refers to... I may be wrong, if so I bow down to your superior knowledge!
-
Thought that boxers have a specific timing sequence... whilst flat 4s don't.. hence a boxer is a flat four but not vice versa....
-
No.. they have a turbocharged flat four...boxer style..
-
One around Guildford too apparantly (think it was reported on the clubgti forum)
