Leave it LHD... mine's LHD and fine to drive.. only probs at automatic barriers when you need to stick the ticket in the machine...

I have 2 owners manuals.... one of them is very helpfully in German.... .....joys of owning a LHD car I suppose.. funnily enough I got an English one from VW. Though they did say something along the lines of there only being 3 left in the country.....

For once glad I take the train to work and don't actually 'have' to drive anywhere.... I just make a point of taking the Rado for a 100 mile spin every weekend...

If you're going to be in Guildford over the summer then you should come for a beer with us lot.. there's a few of us around (Phil K etc)..

I once needed a brake calliper change and found that the previous owner hadn't given me the locking nut tool for the wheels... they had to get the nuts off by chiselling grooves into the nuts for a screwdriver to get them off... 16 times!!!

LoL..which is probably why I haven't fixed it..

My radio reception is pants too (my 18 year old GTi is far better..) ...rarely able to find more than one station at once (and usually that classic FM :( )..often can't find anything.. .. I suspect I have the same problem...

That would be really cool mate.... this weekend? Went out in the Golf last night to get some WD40 to clean the muck out.. ended up doing a round trip to Dorking and back trying not to break the speed limits (for those of you who don't know I'm practising for my IAM test).... its almost impossible.. there are so many 40 and 50 limits that should blatently be NSLs...

Bu@@er.... steering column has been smoking again.. took the plastic casing off the column after a bit of pulling and pushing... stuck key in to see where it was smoking from... its stopped... Couldn't see anything obviously going without disassembling the wiring so put it back together,.. worked fine... Then on Sunday.. it started smoking again.... and then stopped! I am going to have to get this sorted since I don't like intermittent faults of this sort..... any ideas? In a previous thread someone mentioned the relays may be burning out.. where are they located?
