Speed camera detectors - possible GROUP BUY?

I don't want to p!ss on anyones bonfire.. but you can buy a road angel on ebay for £255 That said.. if you get a decent deal on B2's then I believe they are better than road angels.. EDIT: New Road Angels with laser detector that is... can't vouch for seller reliability thou -
Think I may have to give this one a miss... 2 separate drinking arrangements in London..

Happened to me in both my mk2 Gti and my Corrado.... clean the crap out between where the stearing wheel and column meet.. you'll see some wires going from the wheel to the column (horn I think).. I guess the crap maybe shorting it... NB: you do not t disassemble anything to do the above..!

LoL.. confused in the morning..isn't that the definition of a morning? No chance you're getting a pic of me on here though...
-
Not bad.. £770 for the VR (uprated brakes only mod) with 4 years protected NCB, circa £300 for stock mk2 GTi with 5years NCD, 28 with clean licence, no accidents.....think area you live in has a lot to do with it to thou
-
I insure both my Corrado VR6 and Golf GTi with Admiral (same group as Elephant).. I used my 4yrs NCB on the Corrado and they GAVE me full NCD on the Golf (5yrs)..... I guess they figured by driving the Golf I was reducing they're overall exposure anyway...

..and remember VR6s have a very smooth, progressive power delivery, so if you're used to cars with peaky power ranges and expect a 'punch in the back' as you hit the power range...you won't.. it just pulls and pulls.. ...you'll just be going faster than you expect...

Dark green (dragon green) G60 J060*** on the A3 just getting into Roehampton/putney/wamdsworth area..

Saw it on top gear orginally when I was 13-14 and it first came out...... though, I want one of those!!... 13 years later, was bored one Sunday.. and had been following autotrader prices for corrados for the last couple of years.., went to garage that had one.. exept they didn't..it had been sold. but the one round a the corner had just got a LHD VR6 specimen in..took it for a test drive (my big mistake!!)... good price had to buy it after then.... This was 2 months before the VR6 came on top gear again... I've a feeling its actually worth more now than what I paid!!.. I missed out on the housing boom, but have manged to buy one of the only cars that appreciate in value,.. almost by accident!!.. not really though since I was always goning to buy one at some point..

F1's on the front have given me no problems thus far....
-
sorry to hear it mate.... ..I think he may have used flash photography/bright lighting to cover up the imperfections in the contrast...
-
Somethings wrong then... the only thing I can think of (apart from suspension geometry/brake balancer) is whether you had overpressured tyres at the rear and under pressure at the front... Remember the front tyres run at a higher pressure than the back (38 vs 34 I think but may be wrong..)

Dark K-plate 16V Corrado in Park Barn today around 19.10... I was behind you in the mk2 Gti Dark ****NDL on Woodbridge road in Guildford around 19:35......... 2 in one drive, and I wasn't even in my C!! :(

If I power it round a bend in the VR there is some noticeable understeer (particularly when working in conjunction with torque steer  ).. and if I lift off on the corner the front noticeable shifts/jumps inwards... however I am pretty sure this is just the car 'losing' all its understeer, rather than the back stepping out per se...
-
sh!tter isn't it!! I know.. thing is an extra 15-25K gets you a decent 2-bed semi with garage in a non-chav area.... ....but its always that extra 10K you don't have... Though I could get a 2 bed with garage in a remote village.. but I think I might die a social death.. [NB 170K+ is for two bed semi's with parking in cr@p areas of town]
-
Glad I got both then!  No offence mate.. but f'k off! On a more serious note..I'm actually trying at the moment.. and it's scary!.. ...look at what I can afford (with off-road parking of course) and they're all right next to scummy ex-estates with car carcases in the front lawns and the odd boarded up window... ...and thats for 170K+ plus..(in Guildford)..

All of a sudden the cheapest on autotrader for a VR6 has shot up to 4.5K....... great news for those of us already with them  Maybe this makes up for missing the boat on the housing ladder?
-
Congrats...
-
Lol! ooops!
-
Just don't keep it under the arm rest...   Maybe I'm slow tonight but ????
-
Oooops...... maybe I should keep an extinguisher in there just in case..
-
Middle... I think it came from underneath where I can see the wire from the horn (I presume) going from the wheel to the wheel housing.. I'm fairly sure it wasn't coming from the inside the steering column housing (or whatever its called).... Like I said, I had the same problem on my Golf once...
-
Well almost... started the car up and smoke started coming up from behind the wheel.. turned the engine off and jumped out the car bloody quick!!! Couldn't find what caused it but cleaned out the gap between the wheel and column of dust and general crap.. seems ok now.... Had the same problem on on the golf once too... Anyone else had this?
