Make sure its not clocked.... check wear on the seat bolsters and interior trim.. end of the gear stick, indicator stalks.. is the MFA working properly or is it doing 'odd' things..

Nice pics, shame you only caught the front of my car...

Do a search on it, this was covered about a two weeks ago and I posted the procedure for importing a car from Germany. You need to decide whether LHD drive bothers you or not too… I get on with it fine and drive a LHD as a result, some people don’t.. All the best

Good to meet all you guys, and as Phil said, the drive back through Bicester looking for a pub was bloody funny!... see you all around soon no doubt (or No-rice for those of you going) [Guy with the deep red pearl LHD VR with rather too much salt splatter]
-
Surprised me too when I was looking for quotes.... They did care that it was grp 18 thou.......
-
Depends who you insure with.... my insurer (admiral) who were the cheapest for me generally, didn't care that it was LHD (I drive a LHD VR6)...

I used to get frozen handbrake cables in both my golf and Corrado... and my rear callipers stick on the C if the brake's left on for more than 3 weeks..... My solution.. never park it in winter with the handbrake on, and otherwise only ovenight with the brake on. Way to park without handbrake on a hill is leave it in lowest opposite gear for the direction it would roll (ie if it would roll forwards, in reverse), and turn the front wheels into and touching the curb so it can't physically move anywhere. Never had the problem since.. Otherwise you can sort the problem properly by replacing the cable... If you do get stuck callipers and you have driven on them (even if only 1/4 mile) you may have to wait an hour or so to cool before there's any chance of them unsticking naturally
